No, but we need another guard who can actually defend and make 3s. Not to mention on a contract that will be considered chump money after next season.

We can use the Boston pick for Batum's successor. Maybe Dekker or package up and get Stanley Johnson somehow.

12 mill? Ouch. Guess we're stuck with him.

    And a realistic deal is....?

Dude has been on the decline since signing his deal. Getting a first-rounder and a prospect is the ceiling for a Batum deal.

These deals for starters for draft picks are laughable.

That really shows Lamarcus we are committed to winning. Yay for lotto balls!

All we truly need is a defensive player and/or a shooter to fill Batum's spot, yes his passing would be missed but I firmly believe that we'd be better off with Dame and CJ as the main ball handlers.

Batum's passing, like his defense this season has been massively overrated. It seems like there's at least several stupid passes/inbounds that lead to turnovers and scores on the other end.

    San Antonio laughs at you.

    So does Golden State.

    And Atlanta.

The Spurs saved their franchise from being mediocre when they traded a big part of their team (at the time) in George Hill for an unknown kawhi Leonard basically. George Hill and Batum aren't that far off from each other in worth, Batum is a little better.

Lillard and Aldridge were gotten how? We don't need to tear it down. You add to it.

Portland is not San Antonio. Players don't take pay cuts to stay with the Blazers. Although, I will say this franchise is better run than it has been in the past.

Not when you're trying to re-sign one of your main guys. Batum is traded, no way LMA wants to stay

Probably. I agree it depends on who you get back. But draft picks aren;t going to get his dick hard about staying in Portland.

If Afflalo opts in, what kind of player could we get with his and Batum's contract? There's gotta be some past his prime SF making bank that could still help. What about Joe Johnson?

Let's say we go with what I proposed, We get Bradley and #16, with #16, #23, kaman and Crabbe we move into the lottery to pick Stanley Johnson. Would that kind of flip be inticing? I think we get better that way honestly (Johnson would have to pan out but I think him being defensively minded will make him a contributor right away).
