One of the most ghetto things I've seen in a while. "Trill" is hip-hop slang made popular by rappers '8Ball' and 'MJG' in the early/mid-2000's. -Fez "bling bling" Hammersticks.
This teams giant weakness is p&r defense -- WCS has the tools to be great in this area with his super quick feet.
How many times do I have to instruct you? He legally changed his acronym to WTCS. Sincerely yours, The WTCS Nazi
I'd probably keep Nic over Parsons, too. Parsons is a better scorer, but the 13/14 version of Nic is better player than any version of Parsons.
They need to free up cap space by trading Batum for a SF off the bench. Save $10M by trading him for Evan Turner and a 1st rounder (16th or 28th)then sign Demarre Carroll for $8M a year. You upgrade your starting SF and get a lockdown defender, get a SF off the bench, save a couple million and get a pick. You don't need equal value from a Batum trade (No Hibbert, please). You just need a couple assets and cap space.
Uhhhhh demarre Carroll isn't getting $8/million a year(he will get more) and thinking he will sign here is funny
He won't get more then $10M. And why would him signing here be funny? I think it would be a pretty good fit for him.
Why would he leave the team with the best record in the east? To come to Portland of all places? We don't sign guys in their prime that a r e going to have multiple offers across the league
They have to resign Millsap and if he gets more then $8M like you think he will they'll most likely not have the cap space to sign him. (He's only been there 2 years so no Bird Rights) If LA comes back then I wouldn't see a better opportunity for him anywhere else
If we could get Jones that'd be a steal. Get a young cheap up and coming Center and save cap space at the same time? I'm just not sure Toronto would do it.. They do need a starting SF though
Atlanta has enough space to offer carrol 9-10 million a year, and they can resign millsap afterwards with the early bird exception. http://www.basketballinsiders.com/can-the-atlanta-hawks-keep-their-team-together-this-offseason/
Millsaps cap hold will be $15M plus their 2 draft picks would have a hold of $2-3M. That'd put their payroll at $60M+ I guess it's likely they try and let a couple guys go or try and trade a pick, but it'll be tricky. I just think Carroll is a great fit, but if not, they could look at Deng if he opts out, Middleton or Harris if they're not too expensive or someone cheaper
Isn't a cap hold 150% of previous salary? And Millsap is making almost $10M? Your article says $12M..
