Yes. I watched a decent amount lf the Kings,Tyreke has been one of my favorite players and DMC is amazing to watch. The team as a u it is rough, though.
Well here is another one for those interested...
If sac let's Evens walk I sure as hell hope the Blazers go after him! Y have to take a risk at some point and I think this would be a good risk. No way Evens get 10 mill a year, he will get around 6-8.
I would love to believe we could get him for that but I doubt it. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1628441-how-much-is-tyreke-evans-worth-to-the-sacramento-kings
It always comes down to the PG. Without a good one you rarely have chemistry. And although Isaiah Thomas can get to the basket, the Kings had no play making ability. They had talent everywhere else, but no PG means few wins. So I guess I can see the points on both Evans and D M C
I wonder if Cousins is available? I wonder if we could trade for both of them? But even a franchise as horrible as Sac wouldn't trade their only two talented players, right?
He sure doesn't look very athletic taking the ball at the rim. Lillard dunks more than Evans does, and Evans is pretty much garbage on defense. Off the bench? Sure, but at least Wes TRIES to defend.
I'm just not sure that overpaying to get him out of Sacto is the highest priority with him being a RFA. Plus, in terms of a sign-and-trade, he still has to sign a contract, which will still be higher than his worth, IMO.
What makes Lillard so effective as a scorer is he can do it all. (Deep three, mid range jumper, pull up J in the lane, attack the basket......) That ability, like Roy before him, apparently is hard to find because we have not so few that could do all these things well. But I would kill to get one more to team with Damian. We know Evans can attack the basket which we desperately need. And he is getting better with his 3 ball. At least well enough to keep the defense honest. But does he have the ability to pull up and make a jumper with a man on him? That is key. Rudy was poor at it as was Martell. Travis was actually was pretty good at it. (Actually I think Barton has the potential to be good at it, but he can't attack the basket like Evans) For us to get deep in the playoffs we need to find a second player who can can put the ball on the floor and score from anywhere. It needs to be a SG or SF. For the defense to keep from backing off of Tyreke he needs to be good with that that pull up jumper in the lane. Better than Iguodala has ever developed. If he can, then I would pursue him.
