Jerry Reese misjudged the lack of depth on this team.
Fewell and Gilbride are staler than the players on the field.
Tom Coughlin's leadership is as stale as the player's
    performances.........except the WRs.

    Eli Manning is too erratic.
OL has no push off the ball.........
    RBs fell flat
    DL has no attack mode
LBs pushed all over the field and cannot cover
    DBs react instead of act

    Jerry Reese has built a .500 team:tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk::tsktsk:
.......Giants will be lucky to win 4 games this year!

Being more careful with the ball will be the key. This team can score a ton but that will not matter if you hand the other team 14-21 points on turnovers.

You lost me when you list Eli as one of the weaknesses. Get a clue guy.

You can't continue the stupid philosophy of taking the best player available when your team has no LB's, 2 guards and a center that freakin suck. You need to draft for need. I said it before. The Giants were incredibly lucky to win the last 2 SuperBowls. Luck runs out. It's run out. This team blows and will be drafting very high. The Giants need to grow a brain and trade a Tuck, Joseph and perhaps Rolle to stock pile 2 and 3 second round picks in this draft coming up. Then they can draft guards, a center and LB's high to fix the crap at those positions.

The past is the past. Everyone wins Super Bowls with some degree of luck along the way. With that said, Eli cannot be put into that catagory. You correctly point out the LB issue which I feel will be the Achilles heel of this team.

trying to deal with a sucky OL.

The Giants have the worst Oline I've ever seen. Blaming Eli would be absurd.

Sad that team a team with such a history of great LBs like LT, Harry, Huff, BVP, Banks, Pepper has been reduced to a core of 6-7 guys that don't even belong as backups in this league, let alone starting or getting significant PT.

Exactly. If anyone watched the game on Sunday - Eli was not able to step into even 1 throw the whole game, given the constant pressure he was getting. Really surprised the OL coach wasn't fired already - that unit's performance was a disgrace and inexcusable on the professional level.

And what makes it even worse - it's this bad, and Diehl isn't even playing. God help Eli when Diehl comes back - 7 sacks turns into 14, and 20 hits turns in to 30.

Inexcusable situation with the machinations of the OL.
    This unit is Eli's demise.
How the coach & OC could 'settle' with this unit,
means one thing......they're gone after this season.
If not, Giant owners & GM should resign!

Same goes for D........in a total shambles.

Finishing dead last in rushing last year made the weakness at OL apparent, teams don't even need to put in run stop packages. This line has to rank statistically as one of the worst in Giants history. Killdrive needs to call more quick slants, dump offs to the RB. Eli doesn't have time to wait on slow developing pass plays.
