Yes indeed. That means he only misses a handful of games. I had expected the worst (like out until near end of season) but this is positive.

According to this article from a couple weeks back, Casspi is also available to anyone willing to take Garcia's (basically MLE-level) contract. I think all three players could help us quite a bit. Maybe Joel/Rudy/Dante for those 3? Probably a little too lopsided in our favor? Don't know if it would be the best use of the JPEC, but it would definitely improve the team.

One more....no, two more games, max. If there is no trade by then, the team will fall into the black hole of suckiness. SEASON OVER!

    Go Blazers

If the Kings are dealing (and they really should be) I'd take Thompson or Landry for New Orleans first and cash without a second thought. Both are at least somewhat respectable NBA bigs with Landry being the more proven (he looked like legit sixth man of the year material a year ago) and either one has the sort of game that would seem to be complimentary of LMA's skillset in that both have a decent mid-range shot and can operate out of the high post.

Is either guy a future all-star? Hell no, but you'd be hard pressed to find a player in the draft in the mid-first round in a weak draft that could eclipse either one.

I would prefer Landry to Thompsen. Thompsen plays hard, but he makes some of the most bonehead plays if you watch him for any period of time. He makes stupid fouls all the time, and the timing of those fouls is really bad a lot of the time.
