Since they got Barron Davis. He's always been one of my favorite players next to Iverson. I also have followed Beidrins since he was drafted. One of my favorite younger players in the league.

I moved to the Bay Area in 1987 and became a fan that year. I grew up in a small town in Wyoming and didn't really have a team to follow. The Utah Stars of the old ABA played an exhibition in my home town (I think I was 12 or so)... got to see Moses Malone straight out of high school, he gave me a high five when they headed into the locker room after the game. I became a big Moses Malone fan at that and followed whatever team he was on. After I moved here I started following the Warriors and have been a big fan ever since.

Real talk: I've never been a Warriors fan but I always kind of rooted for them since they weren't as publicized as the rest of the Cali teams. Plus I could relate to crappy management and that "maybe next year" feeling after every season. I also respected the fans of this team since they were so faithful for 13 years.

I've always considered the warriors my favorite west coast team since antawn jamison played their which i believe was 98-99.. only because jamison is my favorite player still to this day. After they got rid of him I still would get excited watching their 1 game they get a year to play on national television and continued to cheer for them. Now everyone is jumping on the bandwagon. My next door neighbor that probably couldnt tell me 3 starters for the team in the beginning of the season is the now the biggest fan in florida. It disappoints me to see all these ppl jump on the wagon, but I also know that just from being on this board the warriors have one of the if not most hardcore fans pre playoffs. Its good though a team that struggled for so long is finally getting hope and more fans. Now I guess I have to move on and find another struggling west coast team to cheer for...hmm maybe the blazers??

these bandwagon are annoying and disrespecting our team in bay area.

they always talked about the lakers and kings but never warriors. its a shame

I know a lot of you probably see me as a bandwagon fan but it's not like I'm going to stop rooting for the Warriors once they are knocked out of the playoffs. I have always read the Warriors' forum on JBB because there is always quality basketball discussion in here. Occasionally, I would post my opinions in here but it was always hard because I didn't get to watch many Warriors games. Now that they are on national TV, it's easier and next season I'm getting League Pass so I can continue watching Warriors games. While I did recently start rooting heavily for the team (I'm not denying that), I'm not a fair weather fan who stops supporting the team when things aren't going well. Just wanted to clear that up.

I didn't really take much notice to GS until the Indy trade. I'm certainly rooting for GS mainly down to Stephen Jackson being at the Warriors. I will be honest I wouldn't of paid as much attention to them If Jack wasn't on the Warriors team...saying that without that trade the Warriors wouldn't of likely made the playoffs so they wouldn't be in the situation they are in now.

I'm not really a fan but just rooting for a mate who is on the team. That said they are so exciting to watch how can you not cheer for them?

Man, I love Jack (as long as he can keep the off-court issues quiet). The dude does about everything as a swingman. He's got pretty decent mix of athleticism, quickness, and strength. He's tall with long arms. He's got a good natural instinct for the game to create for himself or for others (he ca play the point at duty). He's a risky player, but he can be clutch inside or out in big game situations. He's also got the passion to win and generally he makes others, since a good number of swing players don't know how to dribble or pass that well.

He's like a Mike Miller player but with way better defense and more clutchness factor.

You really do love Mike Miller, huh? I won't argue with that claim (maybe mostly because I don't follow the Grizzlies). But I do love the mentality of Stephen Jackson. His mentality compared to Mike Dunleavy's is like the difference between the physical strengths of Shaq and that Salvatore referee guy.

But yeah, I am not some sort of officer who regulates who should and shouldn't post on this board, but if you wanna root for the Warriors now or even become a fan and post your basketball/Warriors thoughts here, then I welcome you to the Warriors Justbball board!

    Go Warriors

His passion is one of his best quailties. When he played for the Spurs in the title winning season he had his up's and down's but you could always count on him in big games to hit the big shot. He killed the Mavericks in that game 6. Ironicly enough he did the same 5 years later but for Golden State. He does make some bad decisions sometimes as he has admited in the past but he brings alot of positives to a team. His off court problems have been a shame but he is so mis-understood. Trust me off the court he is a good guy and not what the media like people to believe about him.

I figure nobody is perfect and it's not like the guy is Ron Artest type personality. Sure sJax punched some innocent fans to stick up for Ron Artest after one of them guilty fans threw a beer at Artest, but hey, they were Detroit fans so who cares. [IMG]

The guy can flat out play as a defensive/scoring/playmaking/shooting swingman role player or an x-factor type star. That's all that matters as long as he's not paired together with a guy like Ron Artest or that dude that shot at his girlfriend and got into an accident while masturbating to dvd porn in his car (Eddie Griffin?).

Sjax to me is like Nick Van Exel. You gotta love the guy's performance and his ability to be clutch and make others a bit better. A lot of people talked about Dunleavy when they should have been talking about this guy as a playmaking, scoring, mismatch at 6'8. Or what about Mike Miller post ROY or Joe Johnson Boston era.
