Except we do in 2011 LA previous highest scoring season a season he also shot 50% and also resulted in a career high in FTA's. The key stat was LA taking a career high attempts at the rim and between 3-9 feet.

In 2011-2012 LA averaged 21.5ppg with a PER of 22.7.
In 2013-2014 LA is averaging 23.7ppg with a PER of 23.1.

In 2011-2012 the Blazers averaged 97.2 ppg
In 2013-2014 the Blazers are averaging 108 ppg.

Like I said earlier, you're data mining.

thats what having a great pass first PG (Miller) & a pretty decent High Post Center (Camby) mixed with LA is capable of producing. In the current blend, Aldridge is their only legit High Post player (thought Joel tries) and Lillard is much more of a lead or scoring PG. I'd guess if LA was pared with similar types of players as 2011 we'd see similar game/stats...chemistry matters

box score geeks have interesting stats but they seem like they are trying to use stats to go against common sense. They had the pacers as the 7 seed in the east and chose the blazers to be the 5th worst team this year. They also had the Mavericks, Hawks and Pistons as top 10 teams.

So are you give LA the same number of shot attempts based on his FG% and LA averages 26.7 that year. Add in the differences in his rebounding and his PER would be around 27. Basically when LA shoots more shots between the rim and 9 feet he is more efficient simple as that.

That is not a slight on LA but it is something he can improve on. Lebron was always a great scorer but when he stopped taking as many threes and long jumpers he became crazy efficient. This version of LA is good but he can be better.

You're extrapolating and that can lead to a lot of false conclusions.

    I love this quote:

Yeah, it had absolutely nothing to do with Brandon's and GO's knees. Nothing. Nothing at all. It was a choice.

That quote was where they lost me.

Wasn't BF banned for belittling posters and saying the same thing time after time, in a long, boring manner?

BrianfromWA's anti-LMA trolling is ridiculous at this point. I know, he offers stats in his mind-numbing posts, but so did BF in hers. In this case, it's a moderator clearly trolling the board, and with a weird obsession with me as a poster, in order to continually post the same stats that he thinks support his anti-LMA fetish.

Well Brian may or may not be trolling you, he has not posted once in this thread. It is my opinion that LA while doing well would make this team a lot more dangerous in the playoffs by taking more shots within 9 feet of the basket. While doing so I believed his fg% would rise as well as his FTA's.
