If you go back and look at past championship teams most are grown more methodically rather than making radical overhauls to a team already in the playoffs. You do have a couple anomalous situations like Lebron and Bosh bolting to Miami, but those weren't trades. The other example is the Celtics trading for Garnett and Allen. Yes if you scrounge around you will find champions that made tweaks around their core but those cores were pretty much home grown.

*Edit* I'm not sure exactly how to classify the current Cavaliers.

Classify them as lucky bastards who won the lottery in basically 3 years in a row, and who happen to be the home state of one of the greatest basketball players in history.

That's a pretty substantial difference... 18%. Also Denver has 11% black population vs Portland's 6% black population (and that number is shrinking).

Mixum was from Jersey. I don't give a crap if he's accepted there or not. He was a pain in the ass on this board.

I'd like to see BGD's posts get *edited* a bit more often.

Well, he doesn't generally post anything that should be edited. Posting stuff of dubious insight is different from posting an insult or whatever.

I can tolerate a lot, but blatant trolls that completely fuck up the rhythm of the site are not worth keeping around. We have banned a few of them, and it was completely deserved.

Mixum was definitely a pain in the ass, but my point still stands about there being a large contingent of the butt-hurt brigade.

    Internet gonna internet I suppose?

If people would have ignored him it would have been fine, but that was never gonna happen. That's just not how the internet works.

It's been my experience in life that all people tend to take shit way too personally. That said, what does someone whose main purpose in posting seems to be to irritate the majority of people who post here really offer to the community? If even once in awhile he posted something constructive about the team, I'd have been in favor of him continuing to post. As it is, he goes down in board history as our greatest troll, as evidenced by the fact that we're still talking about him years after he was banned. I'm sure he's duly impressed with himself.

mixum was actively hostile, BGD isn't. There is a significant difference. The best policy for everyone is to either Ignore (using the feature) or ignore (using your native ability to roll your eyes and scroll down) anyone you dislike but who doesn't actively break rules.
