Fresh cut hair does wonders for your confidence, when its shaggy and unruly it can be aight though. I got a girl who hooks me up at her house or comes to a gig I'm at for $20, and there's a decent barber/hot shave place in concord, Lucky's, they got a keg and cigars or whatever. Cuts kinda suck though imo.
