right now, all he is, is potential, pop doesn't really let him play, pop only likes old people, that's why we have james white playing in the d-league so the old people can get all the mins and let the young guys either rot on the bench or go tear it up in the d-league like james white is doing

People call the Suns contenders but, they still don't know how to win it. The Mavs are closer though. The Spurs do know how to win it. Ever since the Lakers traded Shaq (a thank-you would be nice), the power in the west has mainly been with the Spurs. It should stay there for at least the next two years I would think, that is of course until Jerry Buss puts together the next Laker Dynasty

This year I don't think the Spurs have too good of a chance at even making it to the finals much less winning it their team chemistry this season hasn't been what it usually is in years past where at this team they are on a roll. The Spurs will win another championship but their team is getting old so they are either going to have two trade some players to get youth or go to the draft and actually get someone that can come straight from college to the NBA(Ian Mahimi is still in Europe)

I don't think the Spurs will win it next year, just for the simple fact that they have never repeated in franchise history. They will be up there, but I think the Mavs, Suns, or Jazz will take the West. It really is too early to tell though.

Payton is 38 years old, and PJ is 37 on Oct. 14. TIMMY IS ONLY 30! Also, Once Tim Duncan leaves they wont be back to the lottery, Tony Parker will be only 29 years old and popovich is going to coach up Jackie Butler. He will have a good season next year and become one of the best centers in the league in about 3-4 years, so the spurs will be a 6th, 7th and 8th seed in the playoffs once tim retires. Now I think that the spurs will win a championship this year, they will play the cavs or heat in the finals and beat them in 6 games.Oh by the way SunnyD, who won the 2005 NBA championship? Yeah exactly, dont post in here again.</div>Well I am going to be completely wrong on the Jackie butler prediction but It looks like I called the spurs winning a championship this year and playing the cavs in the finals. I was wrong on the winning in 6 games thing but sometimes it is good to be wrong.NBA CHAMPS 2007!!

It has nothing to do with the Mavs losing, you f*cking moron. It has to with idiots like you saying "CALLED IT I CALLED IT!!!11" when there was about a 1/8 chance of it happening. :rolleyes:edit: Aside from the fact that there are probably half a dozen other teams that are more underachieving than the Mavs, I would still like to point out that Spurs fans are by far the least clever and most trite fans of the bunch. If it weren't for Lakers fans, I could give you another award, too.

If it weren't for Lakers fans, I could give you another award, too.</div>You should check your "fact". There are NOT a "half dozen other teams that are more underachieving than the Mavs" in recent NBA history.Sorry (no... I'm really not) but the title of Underachivers is the only title the Mavs have earned. These are the indisputable facts (maybe you forgot) :2007: Mavs regular season ended with a NBA best 67 wins that tied for 6th most in NBA HISTORY. They were the number 1 seed in the entire league and had the league's MVP. No #1 seed had EVER lost in the NBA seven game format to a #8 seed... until the Mavs historic playoff run - um, saunter - this year. Some quotes following the first round elimination of Dallas:"You play your heart out for six, seven months, you win 67 games, and it really means nothing at this point," Nowitzki said. "This is tough to swallow.""We made NBA history tonight and that's the best thing about it. We did it as a team," Davis said. "This is a great feeling, to make history, to upset a No. 1 seed and do it on our home floor.----2006: The favored Mavs easily win the first 2 games of the NBA Finals against a seemingly overmatched Miami Heat team. The Dallas newspaper published discussions for the wonderful championship parade through Dallas (http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcon...vs/stories/061306dnmetmavparade.128518df.html). In game 3 in Miami the Mavs are again in control and have a 13 point lead with only 6 minutes to go in the game. Oops. You may want to stop reading now. The Mavs lose the game and NEVER win another game in the series. The Miami Heat finish off the Mavs by winning four games in a row and celebrating IN DALLAS. Before the series no team in NBA HISTORY had lost all three road games after having a 2-0 lead in the NBA's 2-3-2 Finals format.----Anyway no thanks necessary for the history lesson. I'm sure it was a new experience for you since you seem to prefer simple "you suck" or obcenity filled discourse.By the way one last set of indisputable facts: The Spurs -- the team the Mavs would like to be -- were and are your NBA Champions of 1999, 2003, 2005, and 2007. PS: thanks to Mark Cuban for paying Finley to play for the Spurs!

For a team to be underachievers on a greater scale than your mavs there would have to be lofty expectations. That quickly eliminates 4 of your listed teams already: Rockets, Grizzlies, Lakers, Knicks. These teams did not have any realistic expectations of winning the title. But go ahead and list Atlanta and Boston as well if it makes you feel better. The other two teams you list are the Suns and the Pistons. I'm not going to re-post the facts about why the mavs were un-rivaled under-achievers. But you're insulting both the Suns and Pistons teams to even group them with the mavs. The Suns lost a competitive series to the eventual champions. While the Pistons made it to the conference finals once again. I'd rather go out like those two teams than be sent home in the first round ... the first round! ... in a manner that had never before been witnessed.edit [IMG] : from you last post:

If they achieved what they were supposed to, it would not be disappointing. It was a nice try on your part to say that I was being "illiterate," but not quite accurate. You cannot say that a team including Battier, Yao, and McGrady should beat the Jazz? Well, okay, if you say so. The Griz could not get into the playoffs with Gay, Miller, and Pau, when they were a FIVE SEED the year before? I guess you're right, that's not underachieving. The Lakers were clearly underachieving with a team of Kobe (the best player in the league), a Lamar Odom that was supposed to break out, Kwame, Luke Walton, etc., etc. If you don't believe they underachieved, look at the posts from the beginning of the year, then the end of the year. They completely contradict each other. The Knicks thought they made good trades, then didn't. They underachieved with Larry Brown, then they switched to Isiah, and still couldn't make it in a terribly weak East. The Mavs weren't supposed to win in 2006. By the way Horry is pretty clever himself. It seems like I may underachieve in my other goal of educating you though. I'm sure you can empathize. Go ahead and think the mavs would have beat the Spurs in the playoffs this year. Would of... could of... I'm sure LeBron wishes the mavs were there instead. But maybe the mavs wouldn't have collapsed in the finals this year even. In your world this is likely a known fact... probably.... arguably .... maybe ..... uh .... etc.I'm confident the Spurs would have beat the mavs in this year's playoffs. I was a bit disappointed (edit: or "underachieved" -- same thing according to you right? Hmmm... something doesn't sound right ... oh well I'll just continue) the mavs couldn't hold up their end of the bargain and meet them. So were the Spurs fans I know. But we'll never know and we have only the mavs to blame for that (oh and of course Nelson's inside information and all). However the Spurs were there and ready... willing... and more than able. I don't feel like looking it up but if you're interested in a mavs graphic there is a cute one on the web that is a new mavs logo inspired by a my little pony motif. I think you can probably find it if you're that interested. Maybe the mavs board can be of assistance. :dunno: As a fan I mostly post on the SPURS board and not the mavs board.Anyway have a good day... even though your idols are the biggest underachievers in all the NBA. :yes1:
