People get caught up in the Blazers "imposing their will" on the Suns through the first game, but really it was just the first half. Sure, we held them to 43 points in the half, but the second half they rattled off 57 points, which is right around where they want to be.

Ironically, it was when the scoring tempo picked up in the second half that the Blazers started pulling away. We were pretty well tied up in the first two plodding quarters.

That's what's always been intriguing about our team. Especially without Roy it just seems like a roster that should be putting up 105 or so points a night without even really trying. I don't want the Blazers to get in a track meet with the Suns (that's suicide), but it's pretty clear we don't have to hold them to 80 points to win. Our odd improve in a low-scoring game, but I also like our odds in a 100-110 point game too.
