Ugh, I'm at work and the search function here is HORRIBlLE. If I don't find something in a few minutes I'll sit down at home tonight and find it. Jeez.

I happen to believe Trump has the legal authority to implement his travel ban from the countries Obama had originally made in pretty much the same ban, earlier.

This doesn't mean I agree that Trump should implement the ban. I don't think he should.

Trump wants to ban refugees from coming here. I disagree with that, too. Though he probably has the legal authority to do so, as well.

I don't agree with the administration's crack down on hispanic immigrants. Not at all. It's downright horrible. But they're within the law to do so. The laws suck, but they were made before Trump was elected.

I don't agree with repeal and replace ObamaCare, either. I think it should just be outright repealed and a rational approach to actual health care taken.

I don't have a problem with him asking for loyalty from people who he might or might not keep on in appointee jobs. It's clear there are lots of disloyal people who are not ethical or moral and are doing criminal things. They do need to go. Drain the swamp.

I've also said that I hope congress keeps a leash on Trump so he won't do significant damage. I don't mind him taking an axe to government, though, where he has the authority.

I've called Trump boorish. But we all knew that and he was elected anyway. I don't think he's a likable person, except to a few. I do like that he's not the establishment candidate of either party.

I've also said that I hope both parties nominate candidates who would beat him in 2020. Given the direction of things, it's not looking good and Trump is likely to be reelected. I'm afraid he will, but that's the sore losers' doing. They're only hardening peoples' resolve to vote for him and highlighting why we don't want to elect sore losers to elected office.

    Finally, elections matter.

    Carry on.

Seriously, bro. Don't bother. I've seen plenty enough to know. Yes, I do recognize the things Denny has said he doesn't agree with on Trump. It doesn't matter. Anyone that feels comfortable supporting that jackass of a human I simply will never see eye to eye with.

EDIT: Jackass being Trump, not Denny

bodyman, sometimes direct help is the best solution, you know the person and situation.

I have had some extremely lean times in my life. Now that I am, if not prosperous, at least solvent, I give back by helping those who helped me. For years the only healthcare I got was at Planned Parenthood where they never charged me more than $5; I now make a monthly donation with the stipulation it's to be used for patient care, not electoral/lobbying. Those things are important but I want to focus my donations on patient care. American Civil Liberties Union referred me to disability rights attorney; they also get a monthly donation. When even second hand books were outside my budget, I got books from the library so I give to them. And so forth.

But no Trump can do anything good. It must be spun into something impeachable![/QUOTE] You could find a way to spin anything impeachable as unimpeachable.

I guess the real question is, were the contributors donate their money towards children's cancer research or the Trump Club?

If the money is giving for children's cancer research, that's money that is being given for children, no matter who helped raise the money or bring awareness to the topic.

Taking/redistributing (or whatever you wanna call it) money for another group with which it's contributor didn't want it to go is pretty bad, especially if it's to serve personal interests.

Would you like it if you wanted cable TV, paid money for it, and it got redistributed to Dish and you had to accept their service? It's the same shit. Their paying to help cancer research, not the Avarice Golf Club and Affiliates 20th Semi-Annual Golf Tournament.

I consider charitable donations like I do loans to family. I don't control what they do with it.

    Why I rarely do either!

Denny hardly ever mentions any disagreements with Trump except when he wants to defend himself against the charge of "Trump Lover".

Whereas he goes to great lengths to try to defend Trump on a daily basis.

It would be like Wookie claiming once every few weeks that he really doesn't like beer. Not that convincing.

I only demand innocence until proven guilty. A lot of smoke isn't proof of anything, other than more heat than light.

Nobody talks about the actual bad things Trump does that I disagree with. Where are all the threads about the deportations of hispanic immigrants?

Your kind is focused on imaginary crimes and not his deeds.

If Trump donated $1M and $250K went to Trump Club, it's not the other peoples' money involved.

It's not like having a Global Initiative, and using the donations to hire your friends, keep your presidential ambitions and staff together, pay for traveling the world, renting whole floors of the most expensive hotels, private jets, and so on.

OMG. Now that is just sick to try and take credit for the billions of dollars and hours of research done well before trump lied his way to the presidency. The idiot accepts no blame and takes credit for what others have done.

The rate drop is a direct result of the Trump crackdown on opioid-pushing doctors, drug companies and cartels. Dozens of doctors and drug company execs have been sent to prison and hundreds are scurrying for cover.
