Point is, the entire bench is horrible, and giving bad players more minutes isn't going to change it. Tonight was just brutally bad, and I know I'm being way too tough on McCollum, but he's playing sooooo bad that it's painful to watch. I was thrilled when the Blazers drafted him. Maybe a stretch in Boise would get him back in game shape, and able to hit some shots?

I think CJ gets one more shot against the Knicks. If he is terrible again, then I'd like to see Stotts insert Barton in CJ's spot.

Unfortunately, I think Stotts is kind of Nateing this whole thing... he was flexible early in the year with Leonard and TRob... but now he's become predictable in his rotations and very strict with them.

I want to see Wright get another shot in the rotation.

I like CJ's potential, but unfortunately there aren't a lot of development minutes this year.

To fix that bench I'd have to order some parts, they won't come cheap, it's gonna cost you!

I've been wondering how to post that--e.g. "We've seen this before"--but you did it better, except of course for spelling Nating.

If anything I think it's a mistake to not use Claver off the bench for defense. Our starters are carrying the defensive load night in and night out so Stotts loves his 3 pt shooters but we need bench defense really bad. Claver goes on the hot hand off the bench and Nico gets a breather or Wes gets a breather. I think everyone jumped on the CJ bandwagon way too soon and to me, Barton is better than him. I'm really wondering if they're taking these games off to conserve energy for the playoff teams and division rivals. If you're going to mail one in, the east is the place to do it at this point but it's always a disappointment.

Claver is like the great white hope.... there's a reason why he's not playing. He's bad.

If there is a deal that fixes the bench right now, maybe you do it. What would a package of TRob, Mo Williams, Dorrell Wright bring back?

But honestly, there isn't a whole lot there. I do think a package of TRob and McCollum would bring something back. And something pretty good simply because I think the other team would be biting and banking on potential

You have to trade mo. He's the JJ Hickson of point guards. Even Rice is getting tired of his routine. He started dribbling and Rice said, "he's gonna shoot it." 6 seconds of dribbling later, he did indeed shoot and brick.

From what I've read, that team is in dire need of a trade. Deng is upset at the shitty culture in Cleveland. Varejao is has another year left on a fairly large contract and Jack has three more years left on a decently sized contract. Their team is horrible. They clear two large deals off their books. Mo is opting out this summer and they get a couple young guys. I don't know. I'd throw in CJ too honestly. They'd probably want to unload Waiters but that would push it to around 19 million and I don't think we could do it.

Isn't the idea of a trade to improve the Cavs, so Irving doesn't leave? I don't see how bringing in a bunch of bench scrubs from Portland tells Kyrie that Cleveland is serious about getting better.

As for Waiters ... you hate Mo Williams, right? Waiters is Mo w/out the ability to get assists.

Did I include Waiters? No. I don't like him. I said they'd probably want him included, in which case we couldn't do it.

So Cleveland would want to give up Jack, Verejao, and hopefully Waiters for a bunch of crap back from Portland? And Portland would be able to say no thanks, we don't want Waiters? Is this a BigGameDame proposal?

This is what happens in Imaginary Trade Land. My idea earlier tonight was to sit CJ and give Barton his minutes for a week or so.

they might make it if they keep stinking it up by the deadline, and realize Deng won't want to resign with them, so they have to blow it up again. although Varejao is injured again, i think.
