Eh...I don't know if Howard making no secret of his opinion that he's the best player in this draft is a good thing for the Magic...cuz you know, T-Mac talks a lot too.

What does it matter in the end though? Just about anything could happen...

If Howard doesnt pan out in the next two years.. And most High Schoolers don't for a while(with exception to Lebron of course).. Orlando will get impatient... Because not only will McGrady leave, they will begin to get the idea into their head that he is a bust... And trade him or let him go.. This all after Drew Gooden could be gone, since they drafted Howard..

How do you like that for a scenario? You know its all possible because of the history of the management.. Well not really the history.. But the recent decisions they have been making... I mean looking at what they have done recently.. Bringing in Howard.. And Lue.. Starting both of them... Over younger talents that could pan out.. They could very well give up Gooden if they draft Howard.. Heck they could trade him even before they draft him..

No one can really be sure drafting who will be better.. One may be the better player, But the other could really save the franchise...

The only reason he said this is b/c Orlando is the better team to play for.. Awesome weather, great city, not cold, did i mention beatiful weather? Get to play w/ Tmac... not to mention... a better chance at making the playoffs plus easier teams to play against more often....[IMG]

Well these players shouldn't want to come here because of Tracy McGrady.

This is the first time I'm actually saying this, but in many ways I don't want McGrady playing for the Magic next season.

He's already stated he doesn't want to rebuild, and no one in this draft can help us immediately. That alone says he's a quitter, and he shows no interest in helping Orlando in the long run. Is he even worthy of the 'C' he sports on his uni? So far it looks like he just needs a 'Q.'

Yes, he's a great player, but if he doesn't want to stick around with us for a few more years, he definitely has the quitting attitude. Okafor is the most NBA-ready player in the league, and he plays phenomenal D. Dwight Howard has the potential to be the next KG/Duncan, but McGrady will most likely bolt before we discover the talents of either player. He's stated he wants to go to a team such as the Rockets, but why? Because they are already a contender. He has absolutely no patience, and he lacks the desire to help a team win. He'd rather bolt to a team where with him on the roster, they would become immediate contenders. Sounds a bit like the Karl Malone & Gary Payton situation, except they have been in the league long enough - and they are worthy of a ring.

McGrady wants to win, but doesn't want to work for it. So why do we want him next year? He'll most likely leave us anyway, so why not trade him and get a good player with a winning attitude?

Also, keep in mind that Grant Hill can opt out after this season. (He said he would if he fails another season) That alone will give Orlando more cap space to sign yet another player alongside McGrady.

People are underrating this years draft - Many of these players can become something special, they just need time. Within the next few years Orlando will likely have a drafted franchise player, more cap space, and McGrady if he decides to stay. With that extra cash Orlando could become contenders via free agency signings, but it will have to be a few more years. Will McGrady stay and wait it out, and support his team in the process? Most likely the answer is N-O.
