Between CJ, Hart and now Jrue - it sure does not seem like Joe was the problem in the Dame / Portland relationship.

I feel like one of Joe's best moves of his tenure was hiring this Schmitz guy:

    very likely

and it also showed (probably) that Cronin was planning on having a lot of high draft picks over a number of years. I think the theory that Cronin was subtly, and not so subtly, trying to engineer a Dame trade request is probably accurate

If this is the case, he sure screwed up that plan.

I think the Blazers are going to have top-10 picks over the next 2-3 seasons, so no

Or it could have showed that he wanted to maximize any draft pick they did get. So as not to miss out on the Giannis or Jokic of the future...

Cool. Discussions about this subject are difficult. My opinions are based on my personal experiences, travels, trends, and more. As a man of over 60 years old, I am witnessing more intolerance, than I have ever seen in my life.

Who decides what is incorrect? Is it someone's right to judge someone else and the labels they use", based on their own view of the world? Who set those rules? Is it their group of friends or the social circles they run in? Are they naïve enough to think that their social circles are more important? Or more right?

There is a very telling way to see. Intent. I'll give a non racial/political example, although it is gender based.

I was raised to open doors for other people, especially women. It was not taught to me as a way to look down on women because they needed physical help, but as a courtesy. My mother who taught me this, was one of the toughest, most independent women I have ever known. At the age of about 19, a woman that I opened the door for, got in my face for belittling her by assuming I felt she needed help. Frankly, I was shocked. Over time, I figured out what was missing. Intent. She could have avoided it all together and stopped/waited, and said no thank you. Or, she could have asked for intent, "Why are you opening the door for me". No, she just judged, and spewed her anger and her intolerance.

My feelings are still where they were. I don't believe in groups of people who think that they decide what is socially right or wrong, without their judgement including intent.

I don't 'want' that to be the result. I think it will be. I also think getting 2 or 3 more cracks at a high draft pick could be a good outcome

Welcome to the world we have become, where everyone is so quick to judge without context or intent equated.
Don't need to go further than this forum to feel an impact from this…
