<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheBeef)</div><div class='quotemain'>Not Holmes and Williams in the same backfield, but close....Gonzalez and McMicheal form the leagues best TE duo and the Phins run 2TE sets all the time with them, Holmes is sent to Oakland for the #2 pick in the draft, allowing the Dolphins to grab Manning and Roethliserger...the Dolphins decide to run the leagues 1st three QB set, with all in the shotgun, side by side, just think of the trick play possibilities...!</div> I had not considered all Longhorn backfield as suggested by ROTR but I like it. Kinda like Craig James & Eric Dickerson @ SMU back in the day. I love Beef's theories. however, any and all trick plays will never & I do mean never come to pass w/ Vanilla Dave calling the shots. Though, 2 TE (Gonz & Randy), 3 QB, and Boston or Chambers on the field together would make even Martz salivate.
Ok now... let's be realistic here do any of you think any of that would actually happen?? lol That would be nice but for some reason I don't see any of that happening. I guess I can only see the Dolphins concentrating on their main need right now and that is their offensive line. I hope they're at least smart enough to make the right choice this year but I think they will because a lot of reporters are saying that the dolphins are concentrating on their o-line and safety position. I see them taking Shawn Andrews or maybe Vernon Carey. If Shawn Andrews were to slip to the #20 spot though I would love to have him in Miami, he will open up some major holes for us.

I was reading an article by Len Pasquarelli @ espn dot com. Allegedly, S Andrews needs to be baby sat. Other wise, his weight rises like an untethered Helium balloon. After reading that article, Miami should go after Smiley from Alabama or Bell from USC. How this idea? Miami sends Ogunleye, Madison, & the #20 pick to the Rams for the #26 pick, a 3rd rounder this year and a 4th next. That way Miami could still get Smiley or Bell and acquire much needed picks. I heard Martz is salivating over Losman of Tulane.
I've been reading a lot about Smiley and I think Smiley would be a great pick too, I think he would be great for the Dolphins as well. About the trading for the #26 pick from the Rams... did you hear this from anywhere? I am not sure they will trade Madison after restructuring his contract, so I don't know.
The trade was just one from my fertile imagination after I read Ogunleye would ask to be traded. I had read the Martz was salivating over Losman & thought what better way to satisfy both teams. I threw in Madison just for laughs especially after acquiring Howard from the Panthers. We all know St L could use a decent CB.
