This guy has actually been pretty nice for all the people attacking him for something he has nothing to do with. Ever think it's not just Comcast and that dish or directv are being dick holes? Why did Comcast make a deal with frontier if they were giving all cable companies a big middle finger?
Not disagreeing with any of this. But in this day and age, one stupid comment can bite someone in the ass, and with every good deed, everyone only seems to notice the one brain fart.
Let me be clear: I'm not saying Comcast is absolved of any wrong doing in this deal but....there's a reason that CSN Houston had issues with Direct and CSNNE is having issues with Dish There's a reason Pac-12 Network isn't on DirectTV. Dish and Direct are...well, interesting companies.
I watched the game last night on Comcast, Comcast Bay Area on Dish. So it has be done an now is the time for Comcast NW to make the deal also. I get the Bay area station with the minimum Dish package, so I am very sure you can make the same deal If you are of a mind to do so.
This is what I'm talking about. Let it go. I've never said anything about Comcast on here. You have. Now let it go. Talk basketball or whatever fun topics we bring up. You come in here as the "misinformation police" and every thread you post in goes sideways. Make a sticky thread with you points about CSN and move on please.
I don't expect you need to pay to sign a deal. I expect you get paid if you sign a deal. Yet we have no deal, so something is on the agenda, hey?
This is again ANOTHER example of how NOT to handle these guys here. You won't win with cracks like this, I promise you.
We need to convince these guys that stream it for us, to stream it in HD, then who gives a fuck. Watch it for free.. =)
Fair points. I don't know much about Comcast other than it is a company that is roundly reviled. I do know a little about the business attitude of Dish, as my wife has had quite a bit of contact with them over the years as a service provider to them (I will not go into details.) She thinks Dish as a company is a bunch of unreasonable money grubbing penny pinching [fill in blank]. As a Dish customer, I have seen numerous times Dish has cancelled programming and run veiled negative messages on the vacated channels while leveraging those providers for better deals. As obvious as it is to say, Dish or any business is only going to enter into agreements they believe are favorable to them. As Kevin said, customers aren't switching en masse to or from Dish or Comcast because of the Blazers deal. In other words, Dish isn't being hurt by it in any real sense, so they have no incentive to enter into an 'unfavorable' contract with Comcast. Back to the OP: Awesome! Great work Sly and Denny!! I bow to your S2 Overlordness!!!
I'm just curious how truthfully informed our friend Kevin is. I wonder if he knows that the Comcast big wigs sacrifice piglets in a satanic ritual just about every night. Or at least one would think so based off some of the crap that is said about them. Then again, maybe they do....
