Joel is/was the longest-tenured Blazer player on the current team. It feels so weird to say goodbye to him. I hope we can get him back with a buy out and 30 days' wait...
I don't know, double wide trailers and that sweet Carolina hillbilly meth is a mighty big lure to stay there.
Joel will be missed. He has done a lot for the team and no one will forget that. Hopefully he gets bought out and comes back.
I can say without exaggeration that he is one of my all time favorite Blazers. Perhaps my all time favorite. Kind of sad. I hope we get him back.
Joel was awesome, and he was one of the greatest guys in the locker room, but he's on his last legs in the NBA. The guy really doesn't have much left and we were able to use him to get a player that can really help us. Great move by Cho. I don't think Joel will be back. I have a feeling he will retire.
Has Barrett been told yet? Losing Blakey and now Przy has to kill him. Seriously, though, I was just coming on to make a Joel appreciation thread. It's nice to see one here. John Nash's best deal by far. He gave him a guaranteed contract when no one would. Joel responded to the faith shown in him and became the soul of this team. I loves me some Przy. You'll be missed, Joel.
Talk about a claim to fame.... Anyway, he was always one of the most fun Blazers to watch for just the intangibles. Maybe the most fun since Pippen. The screens, the pushing and shoving, the way he just lives to get in peoples faces. I'll miss him. But I also won't be that surprised if we sign him back in 30 days.
The Joel/Chandler matches were fantastic. Seeing Chandler tossed out every time because Joel pissed him off was fantastic.
Joel has a set of cast iron balls in a kevlar scrotum. I'm sorry to see him go. I understand the need for the trade, but I'm still going to miss Joel.
Vanilla Gorilla, I will miss you. I hope you come settle in Portland after your playing day are over. City can always use good folks.
He could've used that kevlar scrotum a few years ago. Easily the most painful injury in Blazer history.
I loves me some Joel. He was definitely my favorite player on the squad this season because of everything he's been doing. Too come back this quickly from two serious knee surgeries and allow us to acquire Gerald Wallace is beyond the call of duty. I would love nothing more than for him to come back to Portland and finish his career here.
