Continental runoff has a minimal affect on the currents off the coast of North Carolina, even if we let it all run back to the ocean. Even then, those currents run along the coastline. You're talking about the formation of these hurricanes hundreds/thousands of miles off the coast where continental runoff doesn't reach. The gulf stream is a hot current that runs along the east coast.You might be able to delete this current by tenths of a degree, but even a degree aling the coastline isnt going to affect a hurricane that's already strong. If we were having a sizeable effect in oceanic volume, then we'd have an answer for the rising sea level. We don't. That's not a thing. Either global warming exists and is causing ice to melt or were not taking away waters from our oceans because the sea level is rising. Thats two opinions that contradict.
