12-18 feet storm surge is hardcore. This isn't going to end well. I really hope people got the hell out of Tampa.

This Hurricane is similar to Charlie in 04, but seems bigger. I was down there during Charlie and Francis as part of a Emergency Storm Team and I can tell ya its going to take a while for things to get back to normal. The US Army & NG and teams of semi's have been standing by to go in after it settles down. They will be armed to the hilt because of looting and people wanting to go where they shouldn't be. Price gouging was huge when I was down there and they tried to get the road peddlers to move to designated areas but it didn't help much. People really poll together down there to help out and rebuild. I think overall its a small % that try and loot or rip people off.
