Irma tore south Florida a new one but upon arrival in the Tampa area it turned into a wimp. We were fortunate at my house down trees excepted no major damage to the house or cars. Power went out at 0530 on Monday now back up at 1537 today. Had to follow the games on a smartphone Yankees played well with some sleepers waling up.
...glad y'all came out of it relatively unscathed...Mom, who is in Winter Springs is still without power. ...fwiw, love the military time reference.
Shortly after I posted on the power situation the mother of thunderstorms hit and yep it went out again until 5:35PM today. An embarrassing find for the City of St. Pete was the poor condition of the electrical power stations and grids noted by out of state power & line company units who came to help. Duke Energy AKA Fluke Energy need some major overhauls instead of the band aid they have been applying. Glad to have the power back got my property clean up about 75 % done now I can use my power tools to finish.
...^^^Yeah, they are saying Jose is supposed to go out to sea but ya just never know. ...Maria could be dangerous down around our way.
