My browser works fine. If you look at a picture it's saved in your cache. When you post it here that cached image will show here.

Look at this thread in a different browser and it won't show up.

weird wonder how that happens. I did the the same exact thing for both pics. I right clicked and clicked "view image" and copied URL of jpg only and pasted it.

I was thinking about what I would have done if I were still living in NY. My East Village place was swamped on the first floor (I lived on the third floor, but I loved the people that ran the bodega on the ground floor). I think I just would have stayed at work at 24th and Madison and lived in the office building for a week. There they have a shower, a gym, vending machines (assuming the cafeteria was closed) and a generator. Even without power, it would have been a more pleasant environment than my co-op.

In a moment of excellent timing, my uncle sold his beach house in Manasquan, NJ he had owned for the past 30 years this past September. There's a spit between the ocean and the inlet that had to be swamped by the storm. The rest of my family that lives in Monmouth County all have lost power. Who knows when it will be fixed? What a mess.

To the people of New Jersey: In the likely event of flooding, your Governor can be used as a flotation device...
