Lakers FTW. Mostly because I think Fisher should win another (Especially for all the crap he took from Utah just to get here)

Whenever my team isn't contending, my rooting interests correspond to the greatest potential for schadenfreude. In this case, we have an entire legion of rabid Lakers fans who would just miss the opportunity to erase all doubts about Kobe (he's still not a winner without Shaq!) vs. Boston fans who had huge expectations on both their football and basketball teams only to see both choke on the last stage (19-1... the sequel!). I still haven't really decided.

The Celtics were the best team in the East all season, but they were also shoved down everyone's throat all season long by the media.

I already loathe the media Why don't people that are fans of a team understand why other people dislike their favorite team?
Because we've done nothing to deserve being hated. Because we went from 24 wins to the NBA Finals and it makes for a good story whatever way you put it. You'de feel the same way if it was your team..

There is nothing feel good about it for non-Boston fans. If it was my team, I'd understand why they were disliked. On a different note, i don't think I'd feel any better about this had San Antonio and/or Cleveland or Detroit been in the finals, either. I'm just going to ignore it all

Every team is going to have a bunch of haters, you have to live with it. Success is the best medicine... For the Lakers at least.
