Excellent. I think I found a buyer for the games I can't go to with my son.

Who was it that asked for the rebuild?

I certainly didn't. I knew losing Dame would result in us sucking for years.

I wasn't interested in that at all.

You didn’t feel this same way in 2004/2005 when we had Steve Blake and Juan Dixon as our starting backcourt? lol.

    Anyone answer me this question:

Why is Pop Spurs team, and team with a hall a fame coach and generationally talent in Wemby have a worse record than us?

Or Monty with Detroit having a worse record that us?

you know what us and the Spurs and Detroit have in common? a young super green team that equals to many losses and some bad ones along the way.

Rebuilds are never fun and it could be a long road for a while.

    For reference,

Pop is a hall of game coach with a generational talent, and a worse record than us.

Monty is a good coach but that Detroit team is worse than us.

Steve Kerr is a good coach and they still have Steph and others although they are getting older, they are underachieving and not playing good either.

I can play that game too, to simply point out the Jazz is silly

When was the last time the Spurs lost by 50 or 60?

The Jazz rebuild is easier to watch. However, I would not want to be stuck in mediocrity like they seem to. Getting an MVP worthy player is unlikely thru trade or lower lottery picks.

After the trade deadline, this roster may make more sense. I do not care if we lose.

For me it is not that we are losing. Expected that.

For me, it is the lack of progress in players and really what appears to be a sense of "team". In essence, I see a bunch of guys playing pickup ball. No real coordination, etc.

I don't care that we are bad, I've seen bad before and had some hope for the future. Right now, we are bad and I see minimal reason to hope for better in the future.

Yes, we've had injuries. Yes, we're young. I understand that.

The players seem to have no pride or really care about getting blown out consistently. If they don't care, why should I and why should I expect things the change?

Been watching/following the Blazers since they were created. There have been some bad teams but don't know that I can recall such consistent abysmal failure to compete or show heart.

Definitely agree with just about everything you are saying and it is tougher to watch. Different generation but do not think it is a lack of caring. Think the mindset is more AAU where they are doing the work but are not throwing tantrums when losing. Billups is also mild mannered.

As said, I am curious what the team looks and plays like after trades.

This is a good post and a very decent way to address it with the organization.

He said "Embarrassed" No it isn't. Rebuilding teams still play hard and show improvement.

I am stuck atm with tiks for the pacers game. Good luck unloading those!!

and if you can’t see the difference between what pop and the spurs are cooking up vs. what the blazers are doing I just can’t help ya. They have a PATH FORWARD! Portland doesn’t. Not any progress from the players. Zero. There is no leader for the team. I also believe DET has better overall young talent than POR. They also play hard and lose games. You think POR would play BOS as hard as DET did in BOS? Nfw.

Asked for the rebuild, fine with how it's going, excited for the future.

    Period.

It’ s a losing stretch, it happens. The lakers have lost 11 out of their last 16.

funny how earlier in the year when we had a more healthy team we were scraping hard and people were saying atleast Billups has these guys playing hard.

negative Nancy’s stayed quiet when that happened but now we got blown out in some games and everyone is crying lol

Stop your nonsense, you believe Detroit has better talent and playing hard? Then explained how the heck they lost a NBA record 27 or 28 game or whatever it was.

trying to spin it like they have more talent and better than us when both their records are WORSE than us is hilarious and Detroit plays in the East.

you lost all credibility after you mentioned Detroit as better than us sorry to say.

you guys are making zero sense and it’s funny to read

I didn't ask for the rebuild. I was pissed when we didn't make one trade around the draft to win now. Joe wanted the rebuild and a bunch of you did to. That being said, it happened and I think as long as we fully commit to it by trading Jerami and Malcolm before the deadline for assets that help the rebuild then the rebuild is going well.

Did people think that the games were going to be fun to watch? For those who are complaining about the lack of progress Scoot and Shae are making, look no further than Ant, Jerami and Malcolm those guys are a huge hindrance to the development of our young players. I'm hoping most of that gets fixed by the trade deadline but I worry that Ant will be here for a long time and he makes both Shae and Scoot way worse when he's on the court with them.

So I'm in wait and see mode but I've liked the glimpses we've seen of Scoot's potential. I've loved most of what we've seen from Shae. Toumani was a steal. As Kris gets playing time it becomes more and more obvious that he wasn't a huge miss. If we get rid of our old guys and our one young ball hog I think the games will get fun because it will be about player and ball movement on offense with pressure and hustle on defense, Ant and Jerami are currently really fucking that up.
