There is a time when all teams get over the hump. Let’s be real here man. Based on that logic, no team would ever win anything except previous champs. Gsw was nothing until they won. and they had young guys. Denver was nothing until they won and they had young guys for the most part. You didn’t address Any of the specifics of why I think they are better. Come on. Hobert is on his 11th season. May his ninth( might have those reversed) Conley is a vet. To call Minni a young team is laughable.
I did get you mixed up with the other guy about having displeasure with Billups for a while, so for that it was my mistake.
Well their main pieces that will take them to the next level is Edwards and Kat. So they only go as far as they take them so yes young with those two guys. good point about Gobert and Conley but Gobert was exposed badly last year in the playoffs and it will happen again imo. So comes down to Edwards and Kat imo.
I can't speak for others. But I don't care about the record. These guys aren't getting better. They've mailed it in. I haven't seen anything I like out of Billups. I mean, he's a nice guy. That's about it. Billups is not going to help any of these guys develop more than they would without him. So there is no reason to keep him around. Get a group in here who will help our young players. And we really need the team to be sold.
You haven’t seen growth Scoot at all this year? I bet to differ. Camara has been giving the chance to start and showed flashes of a great defender. Sharpe has been playing lots better this year, but he was leading the NBA in minutes played and had some injuries with his hip lately, but overall has been wayy better than last year. To reference Sharpe, is he playing better this year due to Billups or that he got a year of experience under his belt? like Scoot needs! Like Camara needs. Why other guys besides Camara, Scoot and Sharpe? Ant? He has had rough stretches and good ones but this is the first time he has ever had to be the main defensive scheme from the opposing teams and you can see it at times. I don’t know how you make the judgment call of young guys not improving on such small sample size. Example Scoot and Camara. how long did it take Ant to actually become decent to where he is now? It takes time, maybe you don’t think Billups is the coach and that’s ok. I’m just saying a “good” coach ain’t going to change this team anytime soon, experience will and that will take time. But that’s just me.
Those guys are what they are because they are talented. They came into the league with these skills, aside from Ant. They aren't playing as better teammates. Of course it will take time. To get wins. That doesn't mean the product on the floor needs to be so disorganized. I'd like to see a better developmental coaching staff. There are proven developmental guys out there we could get. If this ownership group is actually interested in developing the team.
