Not really. Shaun Livingston plays in a pace-and-space offensive system and isn't garbage. Turner is Portland's Livingston, with very similar strengths and weaknesses. The problem is not that Turner is "garbage" (he isn't), it's that he's making like 3x the amount Livingston is.
Not for me, but whatever SL has taken 66 3 pointers in his entire career. He also shoots 55% from the floor ET has taken 118 3 pointers this year, or 2 per game, and has made 26% of them. He only shoits 47% from the floor. Not close to the same player
They're very similar, though very different body types. They're both good ball-handlers and passers, good mid-range shooters, good defenders and capable of posting up smaller players. Neither has a three-point shot. Asking Turner to shoot three-pointers is misusing him, just as having Livingston fire up two three-pointers a game would be misusing him. If Turner shot as few three-pointers as Livingston, his field goal percentage would be above 50% too.
Just wondering how you came up with this opinion? Is this something you read? The guy played like 20 seconds. How can anyone get a feel for how he fits with Cleveland?
