OKC is way over the salary cap and need to unload Carmello, and Cleveland is looking to dump Love now that Bron is gone. I have a feeling one of them is coming to the Blazers soon.
Melo is going to get bought out and end up in LA. I'd take him if he decides not to join Bron for the minimum. Anything more, no thank you. Love is more preferable for sure, provided we don't deal CJ to get him.
Get real, man. The Blazers are the Washington Generals of the NBA. No one comes here, and nothing ever happens here. Get used to it.
Here's hoping you're right. I'd love to feel excited about something this offseason. And I know it just JUST started, there's plenty of time until training camp.
Big trade? Yeah, right. Washed-up Melo isn't coming here. We're going the other direction with ages. If anything, any big trade for the Blazers would have to include Dame or CJ going out. We're building around a younger set (Nurk, Collins, Harkless, Simons, Trent)
Cleveland's pick was dealt to the Hawks and is top-10 protected. They need to suck enough to keep that pick. Of course they would say they plan to keep him, but logic dictates otherwise.
Until today when they said they're open to offers. Things change. http://www.sportingnews.com/nba/new...lakers-lebron-james/yntdhhx787hr1ix5lswntcg2d
The fact that there are people who believe Olshey is capable of pulling off some big trade after all these years is hilarious.
