Did you read her final paragraph? I haven't even read the entire post yet, but even I can tell she knows it's a rebuilding year. No one is getting their hopes up.

Watching a team build and grow is an exciting experience. The level of uncertainty we feel going into this season is what makes being a Nets fan right now so exciting. The past few years, we knew what we were getting: a second round playoff exit, at best. This year, who knows where we'll end up? That's the fun part.

I can't wait for the new season to begin. I need my NBA basketball.

I just hope that when they lose, it isnt because of off court issues or most of the same stuff from last year.

I dont know what to expect but I think this team can be good and better than most ppl think. We have the pieces but he need to stay healthy and play hard especially on the defensive end and we will be just fine. Im excited too! I wanna see if Harris and VC can carry this team and be leaders and I want Yi to show all of the doubters and critics that he can play. I like our Rooks and I wanna see CDR play inspired basketball after being passed up by so many teams. It should be fun, we gotta lot of players with something to prove(Simmons, CDR, VC, Harris, and Yi) and thats what I like. Dont sleep on us!

great post. i am totally with you. i too have followed every step of vince's career since 2000. and I feel what he has lost in athleticism (ps, i hear he had a sick dunk at the open practice so say what you will) he has gained in leadership, basketball IQ and become what he set out to be in 2000, an all around player, does a little bit of everything. cant wait!

They'd better get the offense in tune before Thursday or the Heat will destroy them.

WHile they were energetic and active and good on defense in today's scrimmage, they couldn't hit a shot in the practice beforehand (literally, I mean none in the five minutes I watched) and only a few in the scrimmage.

Miami scares me this year. If Livingston can be somewhat decent, that'd be a great pickup for them. Beasley and Wade, yikes.
