Well the player's seem to like playing for him at least ... http://www.csnnw.com/pages/landingb...azers-past-Bulls=1&blockID=671584&feedID=5212 Side note: Reading some of these player quotes ... damn some of these guys were tired of Nate.
Never said a negative thing in my days here - but PapaG.....you're a jerk! Don't even need to elaborate!
Yeah, I meant I agree with the move because we shouldn't be trying to win at all costs, we should be focused on developing our younger talent a little more at least and preparing for next year. Canales will do that, Bickerstaff won't.
So I was reading that right. I understand your logic, but Bickerstaff has Bobcat re-tread stank all over his old underperforming career. I was in a meeting when I learned Nate was fired. I asked the guy that told me, "Please, for the love of god, tell me Bickerstaff isn't the interim." It gave me great optimism that the Blazers brass didn't put good 'ole Bernie in charge. Putting Canales in, regardless of history or pedigree, gave me hope that the Blazers have a broad view of the future.
So are you agreeing with me? Regardless of his record, I don't even have to look it up to tell you Bickerstaff has hundreds of games of experience. It would be foolish to say he'd do worse than a video editor (or whatever the hell he did).
Elias Says Kaleb Canales is 1st in history to win head-coaching debut vs team w/ .800+ win pct, 40+ games into season.
It's an impossible argument. But your logic states that Bickerstaff would play the vets which would = more wins (this season) than Canales, who would play younger players which would = less wins (this season). I guess my question would be - what veterans would Bickerstaff play that Canales wouldn't play, and how would they equate to more wins? I don't give a fuck how much experience Bickerstaff has. He's like a Lenny Wilkins to me. 1 Million wins, 2 Million losses.
We're not talking about a substantial win difference here. I just think B would be good for a couple extra wins in comparison. And guys like Felton, Crawford, Thomas would be taking a little more burn from Babbitt, Smith and company.
