I figured out what part of the problem was at that height: the seats are so steeply stacked that the seats in front of you are literally down in the floor, so there's nothing to grab onto to steady yourself, like there would be in the lower levels, where the seats are more level with one-another. In the lower levels, when you scoot by someone, you can rest your hand on the top edge of the back row of seats in front of you to keep your balance as you move along. But no so at the upper levels. And when you have such small seats, and only a foot of room to scoot by when you're passing people, then it really is very dangerous. I seriously wonder how many other people have taken a tumble up there. Because you're literally balancing on one foot-widths worth of floor with nothing to hang on to while brushing past hunched people. Very dangerous indeed.
Im pretty saure this is true too because right about that time a bunch of ushers and a couple of cops came up between 301 and 332 and were looking around. And these were all BIG ushers there in anticipation of a conflict no doubt, but they didn't find anything and then left. I think they were sent over based on camera glimpses by internal security and thought something more was going on. Man I hope your alright @Jade Falcon. Things like that often hurt far worse the day or two after. It was a pleasure meeting you, however so briefly. You know @SlyPokerDog couldn't sit and chat; had to get his beer.
Ugh....I didn't mean to cause that much of a commotion. But I'm glad they were quick to respond. I didn't see any of them. And I'm okay, thanks. It was nice meeting you too!
I have to say Jade, you were there.... If you are going to sacrifice yourself like that, the least you could have done was taken out some of those obnoxious warriors fans that were scattered about. I would have tried to aim my tumbling with a kick the the head here and an elbow to the back here, of anything yellow. LOL I have to give it a fail for that alone. NO warriors fans left in a stretcher? Then your wake was not large enough! You will have to try harder next time.
LMAO, oh boy....I can see this nickname getting thrown around at the next skybox meet. LOL, well...you're the engineer, not me. Surely you'd be able to come up with a formula on how best to achieve this. You know what's funny....Sly and I were joking, once we got seated again, about how I landed on the empty seats of two obnoxious Warrior fans, and how I couldn't wait until they were sitting there. But they were off doing something at half-time. Just my luck. I missed my only chance to squash them.
Damn, hope JF is alright. I've had someone fall on me from 2 rows back up in the 300 level years ago. Dude was dazed and likely a bit drunk. It really hurt my neck for a few days. Those rows are a bit too steep.
I just imagines it was like the Family Guy episode where they show Bobby McFerrin falling down stairs making noises
Holy shit. That could've been so much worse. Glad you're ok. You literally could've died. Wouldn't be the worst way to go tho. At a Blazers game. Really!?!? She wouldn't move for you and that's how you fell?
It was REALLY crammed up there. I don't think it was anyone's specific fault....but further down the isle, near the stairwell, there WERE two enormously fat people who didn't stand up when I went by. And that certainly didn't help. But thank you. I'm alright.
Sometimes that's the way the ball bounces! Hope you are on the mend JF ....glad you didn't fall on a Blazer player at the bottom but at least you could've landed on KD!
Hopefully you feel better soon, partner. We need all the hardcore Blazer fans we can find rooting for our team!
