when you actually sprain your ankle, it is more serious than a roll. the bone is acutally being distorted or whatever.
I don't think "rolling your ankle" is a specific term for anything, but usually people are referring to a sprain. A sprain is just when you stretch the tendon further than it is meant to be stretched.

I have been playing my on my dodgy knee's for ages- I need two knee reconstructions. Geting them done in November. If I jump hard my knees pop out and I cant land- I hit the deck. It kills my jumper and rebounding. I also can't move laterally very well - they pop out then too. Its very frustrating - especially when I know I could school the guys geting over and around me if I was healthy.
