So, attempting to understand the front office's logic equates to "making excuses"? Or is it something else with which you take exception?
If you steal lines from other people, at least choose ones that were not used to death by a million other people just like you.
I've been using that line since I first heard it in the Army in the late '80s. And there are definitely not a million people just like me.
It means nothing, i make repeated mistakes in some words (about 10 of them, in 2 languages) when i write automatically sometimes.
You heard that line in the late 80's from some old fuck who heard it in the late 60's. Just think how many times that line was used during all those years.
This thread is not 100% serious btw I understand the skies are not really falling down, we weren't winning a championship next season etc etc.
these reactions are almost like clockwork. go back a year ago, and people were upset about Davis, Aminu and Plums. Before that, people were underwhelmed with Lopez and Robinson. Im not super thrilled about the signing, but I'm sure not upset that Parsons went elsewhere or that Howard ain't coming here. But I do enjoy the smell of the overreaction and hyperbole in the air.
Me too... 21st birthday I walk in to get two Henry Weinhards, and the fucking clerk doesn't card me. I felt swindled.
