Boogie signed for under a million more than Ed did in Brooklyn....the dude threw away a ton of money to chase a ring....Ed just got a job.

Swanigan although raw can shoot with range...hustles and rebounds...I watched all his G league games...he's got skills...people act like he's frickin' Hasheem Thabeet around here...I like the kid.
    He's like 20 years old...Ed is 28 I think...I wouldn't be surprised to see him develop into a good stretch 4

I do too. He was awesome in home opener against New Orleans last October. Showed a lot of potential. He could shoot, defend, block shots, pass, and rebound all in one short shift.

If Swanigan beat Ed Davis for minutes we'd be happy as a MF can be. Literally beat Ed though, not given to him.

Swanigan can't defend or block shots bro.... his passing and shooting are overrated.

Swanigan ain't it lol. You guys honestly expect him to flourish under Terry Stotts system? Lol. We gonna sign Anthony Tolliver before we get to see a back-to-the-basket game.

I expect him to be a power forward for the team....nobody think's he's the face of the franchise here...I also think young players do get better under Stotts coaching....he's a second year big....played a few minutes against vets in the NBA...you have to play against NBA starters to learn how to defend them...rookies take awhile to learn the opposition....what all these young guys need is court time

See Noah Vonleh my guy. He's basically Swanigan, but NBA ready.

Better body, athletic ability, much less of a shooting touch and quite frankly, game smarts. I like Noah, but he is a different player than Biggie. If you could get Biggie's basketball brain and shooting touch in Vonleh's body... look out.

Agreed. If they let that expire they aren't serious about winning soon. Even if they just pick somebody up on a 1 Yr contract with a team option 2nd year as a trade piece... Assuming that's not breaking some rule...

Swanigan has a contract...right now Vonleh doesn't have a job...if he couldn't crack the Bulls rotation, well...that says something...and I had high hopes for Vonleh…he's a strong dude. He got a shot with the Bulls....didn't make the cut

To be fair, if you say this, then people can counter the "potential" argument with the same question.

Some people on the forum choose to be super positive about the team all the time and that’s fine but I’m looking at it for what it is. The boogie thing was weird because I never saw woj or anybody else tweet about it and it’s just ironic the only guy who tweeted this out was Haynes who obviously has a past here and has sources here given the fact he knows more about the team than local sports media so yeah it’s a little odd. Who knows if that really happened. I was fine with the draft picks. What I didn’t understand was this whole veteran talk he gave and acquiring them yet we got Seth curry and stauskas? I’m way more positive about the curry signing than the stauskas signing. I think pat is better than stauskas. Quite honestly I’m really uncomfortable with Meyers getting minutes because he’s just bad. I think Ed Davis being let go was a really shit move. This was the last straw for me. 2016 should of been but I have him another chance and he’s not surrounding dame with guys that can compete. Unfortunately this team is stuck in mediocrity for another couple years. Yeah we will make the playoffs but we are first to second round exits at best.

The possibility of us losing Davis because Neil wants a role for Meyers pisses me off. What the fuck did Meyers do for Neil to love him so much?

It's his 7th year in the league and we're talking about developing him as though he's a rookie.

Will this continue until he's 35?

They can cut someone no problem. If they don't use the TPE it's to save tax $
