Houston has little to nothing to play for as far as playoff positioning, I would think they'd start resting guys, especially Harden given his sore hand/wrist
Step away from the ledge FAMS. THIS is exactly what happens when you think every season we have this Dream Team roster. You are setting yourself up for a huge letdown looking at it like that. Oh well. We'll win our next game and he'll start a thread how we'll go undefeated in the playoffs.
Based on our March performance, we'd have won 67 games with Nurk all year... likely ahead of Golden State and the Spurs
Oh good lord! You too? It's also sunny and clear here in the P-Town today.....guess that means it never rains. #JinxLogic
What's it called? Is it bball related, or variety, or... concept? Edit: Oh nvm, i see the title up there ^^^
To me this is win-win. If we lose out then we get a chance at a great lottery pick and we get a realistic look at Vonleh and Biebs. If we hold on to 8th then maybe Nurk can come back and we surprise Warriors a bit. Either way is good. I guess worst case is if we limp into 8th and Nurk really doesn't come back and we get plastered in four.
I've been running the numbers and in order to make the playoffs the only remaining viable option is ritualistic sacrifice of one or more of the board members. I move to create a poll so that we can make the selection.
I have no clue about Nurk's situation, but you guys realize that players in the NBA with this type of energy average about 5 to 6 weeks of missed time right? Just because they say he is getting checked on in 2 weeks, doesn't mean he will be back in 2 weeks. We call this the #JinxEffect....... or setting yourself up for a big letdown and not using common sense effect.
I vote for anybody who looked at this roster in October and thought we would actually finish with 50+ wins!
As a fan of not only the Blazers, but the NBA in general....I think the Blazers vs. Warriors matchup would be much more fun to watch than a Nuggets vs. Warriors matchup. Plus, an added bonus is going to the playoffs which regardless of who we play is always fun!
Cheer up, this will all look like a good thing when we miss the playoffs but then win the lottery! And then his knee will explode and we'll remember that this is the Portland Trailblazers.
