It was interesting traveling the Columbia, still quite a lot a ship traffic on that river, perhaps a ship passed me every hour. All the ships coming were loaded, mostly automobiles, to be unloaded in Vancouver. 3000 cars per ship maybe it was 3500, I forgot. All these leave empty though, and they call this trade. Damn! That is a lot of cars coming in. The ships going out of every port on the river and the coast are load when they leave Oregon with logs or wood chips. So we import cars or Vancouver does, for the western part of the Nation, and ship out the natural resources that once provide jobs in Oregon. This must be considered a wonderful improvement by the liberals. Dang, no pollution from process anything, all that nastiness is done in Asia.
