QUOTE (ZÆ

How about a sports ticker that roles across the top of the page?

Yeah like we had after the NBA draft.
It'd be really cool it you click on the ticker score and be brought to the game thread.

score ticker is in the new homepage design.
I really want to do it right, so I need to find a couple or three days to get it all figured out. We probably don't want just one kind of ticker - maybe NBA scores for NBA forums and NFL scores for NFL forums, etc.

One thing that's annoying is when a blog gets a reply/comment and you click to read it, you don't know where the comment was made, so you have to keep clicking and reading all the other blog posts before you get to the one that the latest comment(s) are/were on.
Anypossibilitytoboldthe"unreadblogpost"insteadofjustthewholeblogitself?

yeah, blogs need some work.
They used to be displayed different, making this kind of thing way more intuitive.

This may be a goofy idea, but is there any way to enable users to set the particular font and font size they favor once rather than having to change to that particular font and font size every single time they post? (Psst. If we can do this already, take it easy on me. I'm not very tech savvy, but my milkshake does bring all the ladies to the yard. Boo-yeah.)
I'll dig into the editor and see if I can set user preferences. I do think it's a great idea. You'd set it up on your user settings page.

Nothing in this thread is being ignored. I'm working on a handful of really big tasks, and I'll get to these soon.

All these are great ideas.
My time is limited and I'm focused on getting the new HTML up and running. There will be a time in the next couple of weeks (I hope) where I make a bunch of these suggestions a reality.
Do not think I'm shining any of these on.
