I know, right? Both have legit outside shooting, both are above average passers, both are strong rebounders, DMC can dominate the paint, Meyers is beginning to develop some moves in the post, both are good defenders. They could be the most dymanic set of bigs in the league if Meyers continues to develop. Too bad it sounds like they're finally finding some stability with that team...
Never trade 1 for more than 1. Chandler is the only part of that trade we'd ever end up keeping, and he'll never be as good as Aldridge.
I did. Perhaps it was a fluke, or a flash in the pan, but he played good defense against Gasol. So until he shows otherwise I'm going to think that he's turned the corner and will continue to improve.
Only incentive for a sign and trade would be a team over cap that wants him. Or a team that wants his Bird rights, allowing him to sign a 2 year deal with a PO after his first year. If they are over cap next summer, they would need his bird rights to keep him
Leonard has consistently had among the best DRtgs on the team, and as minutes went up, this remained true. He's a good defender.
A-fuckin'-men. His D is very good, quick feet, hands up. He gets some bullshit fouls called on him though.
That part is not true. If LMA signs a 1+1 deal, he looses his bird rights if traded. http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q91
I stand corrected... But the sign and trade would be only beneficial to the teams that don't have enough cap space to sign him then.
I'm very aware of that, such as what happened in Miami. And look.at what those teams.got. NOTHING. If we sign & trade him.to a team that could already sign him to a 4 year contract, they aren't going to start giving us assets. They'll give us shit draft picks.
http://www.cbafaq.com/salarycap.htm#Q55 He can make no more via S&T than he could by signing outright with another team. Feel free (anyone) to correct me if I'm wrong.
