....is it the biggest thing to happen in Oregon sports ever? Soccer sucks and Ducks haven't won anything since the 1930s. Will there be a parade? Of course we'll lose though. We always do.
Beavs ....6 National College Championships in baseball since the 1950s....last 2 under Pat Casey...the current coach...then there's this 1977 team that should get a mention in Portland
I just put in for a class on how to create quality threads for message boards. If you will, please welcome your professor, Kingspeed.
No Kingspeed, the biggest moment in Oregon Sports History was when Mt. Mazama exploded the Klamath Natives invented Magma Boarding.
Who else opened this thread fully expecting KS to say "will we be the first team to win the SL, and then the NBA title in the next season!?"? I'm a little disappointed he didn't say that.
I thought the same. I fully expected him to either say he was buying regular season tickets or that we would then follow suit and win it all. But then I read this biggest in history thing and just realized maybe king isn't he diehard fan I thought he was. There is a one mr jack Ramsey rolling over in his grave right about now...
So, should they just run around the court when players are taking free throws? That would be entertaining.
That sounds like a plan. If they also flail their hands and moan "woe is me, woe is me" - it will be even better.
And they blow out there Achilles Tendons and Elbow Ligaments just like every other athletes. The sport was created when the Confederates were still marching through Gettysberg..... Our definitions of what is "sporting" changes but rituals like baseball remind us what a "pastime." is. Just like cricket is to the English. It gets us outdoors during summer time.
