How appropriate. Sticking with Olshey and CJ is like...running in sand, into the wind.

If you're trading Dame, you're committing to a full rebuild. Otherwise it's not worth it. There's no combination of players that you're going to put around CJ that would make us a contender.... unless you go get someone as good or better than Dame, and that's not happening.

But you can get younger and get assets for the future. Win about the same number of games until CJ's ridiculous contract is over and then keep building until you get young core pieces that are better than what we have now.

I don't want to trade Dame, but I'd rather trade him than come back with the same team we had this year because this current team is doomed to flaming out and there's not much to look forward to as a fan.

This team is shit without Dame and would not win the same number of games. If the team was going to trade Dame, they may as well trade CJ and Nurk as well and amass as many draft picks and projects as possible. Good thing that's not going to happen.

Uhhh... nurk got married. Lol. He is human, he does deserve some time with loved ones.

Fun fact: Dame still hangs with his loved ones and does that. So you don't know that nurk ain't doin that just because it's not on suckagram.

Six votes to trade Dame? How many times does @AldoTrapani get to vote?

Honestly, if Neil is going to keep the same foundation pieces and just keep reorganizing the outside deck chairs, then I would be okay with a trade that put Dame in a place that he could contend for a ring.

    Dame/CJ isn't doing that.

Unless we're getting Luka, Giannis, or some elite young superstar, I don't see how you could consider trading Dame.

Not good enough IMO... very very good, but not good enough.

I think the list is only about 5-6 players long and none of those teams would do the deal.

Quick was floating the idea that Boston covets CJ and would dangle Marcus Smart and other pieces for him..

I think Tatum is good enough, but they wouldn't want to trade him. They'd more likely want to trade Brown and Brown isn't good enough.

I disagree that Tatum would be worth it, but I agree that Boston probably wouldn't do it. Also agree that Brown isn't good enough to trade Dame, unless you know Dame is walking, which we're two years away from worrying about.

Honestly, even Giannis isn't as good as Dame imo.

Dame has done things that are rare. He's not really appreciated like a generational talent, but he is one.

It’s a haul - like never before in NBA history!
    It’s a business!

Jody’s gonna get her way….hire Becky Hammon as head coach and then move her team to Seattle so she can see more games in person!

Then we can pry the Pelicans out of Portland -

“And nowwwwww, starting at the point for your Portland Pelicans - The letter “O” Damian Lillard…….and wearing number 1, at the wing, Ziiiiiiion Williamson….

    any problem with that?

    :drumroll:

I agree... but I think Giannis' age/talent is good enough to warrant trading Dame if that were the direction we wanted to go. It would hurt my heart though.
