Wolves have leverage in the fact that teams will start a bidding war for Love right before FA. No reason to except a deal they think will get better closer to the deadline. Also the cavs would be stupid not to trade Wiggins for love, sure try and keep wiggins but before training camp starts add wiggins to the offer and get Love and have the best team next year.

Love is still only 25, so it's not like they'd be trading Wiggins for an aging star. Love will be in his prime for pretty much as long as James is a force.

Love should say he will not sign a contact with anybody other than the Cavs just to fuck the Pups

It'd be interesting to see sometimes how players rank other players. For instance, if LBJ had his pick, would he rather have Love over LMA or Bosh or Griffin or Melo? Would CLE give up about the same package for all those guys?

Watch what Love plays like next to a real superstar who needs the ball. Next to LeBron he's going to look like a good player and he still won't play a lick of defense. The Cavs are going to be like the Heat, paying a few guys huge salaries and hoping they don't get injured while their bench becomes a ghost town.On another note, this is another OT thread.

Yes I think lbj will be good at 40. He'll still have the size of a PF with great bbiq, shooting, passing. He'll be a tad better than Jordan at 40 which may make him an all-star.

I wouldn't give up Wiggins for Love. They have the same playoff experience. I'd offer every other player outside of Kyrie and throw in 5 first round picks the Cavs can trade.

Gotta agree. Before the draft Love was considered worth a 5-8 pick and some change. Why is he now worthy of the number 1 pick plus change? Wiggins has been one of the most anticipated players to come out of the draft since....... Greg Oden and Lebron before him. You dont just give that potential up even for Love.

I would have to seriously consider it. Players coming into their prime instead of going out of it, more cap flexibility, a potential star which certainly doesn't equal a current star but I've never thought of Aldridge as a superstar anyway. I think Lillard could be and that is who you build around.

This team, with the additions of Kaman and Blake, is not a contender but a nice playoff team. IF the goal is to take a shot at winning a championship, I go with the trade.

    Aldridge/Barton
    for
    Thompson/Bennett/Wiggins/Hopson...
...works CBA wise. Portland would then have to lose a couple of 'suits' but I think it is worth it.

    Lopez/Kaman
    Thompson/T-Rob
    Batum/Wiggins
    Matthews/Wiggins
    Lillard/Blake/CJ

That is still a playoff team and I think could very well have more potential long term than one anchored with an ageing Aldridge with a massive contract.
