Yeah but the gung ho prosecutors that want him are in New York. Plus the spring breakers will kill Florida soon. Winning
Nothing Trump is saying on this issue really matters anyway, since it's at the state and local levels that social distancing and isolation orders are being implemented. Even if he wants it all to stop, the governors of New York, California, Illinois, et al are under no obligation to pay any heed to his requests.
The media is thriving on this virus! Fauci Calls Out 'Media' for 'Pitting' Him Against Trumpwww.nationalreview.com › news › not-helpful-fauci-calls-out-media-f...
Sean Hannity, Joe Scarborough, & other media multi millionaires are like the roadside vendor's peddling emergency supplies during a disaster and gouging people. The media is interested in one thing RATINGS and the ethics no longer exist within that industry like others. Its getting to the point where they are worse than politicians anymore and I never thought Id take that position as Im pro media and freedom of speech.
I think that that's a load of crap. The media is reporting on a very real and very important issue: Trump and Fauci disagree about public health issues. Fauci doesn't want to get fired (why, I can't imagine) so he's trying to downplay the disagreements. It's true that the media isn't helping him play that game, but that is not their job. barfo
So you don't think the media benefits from any kind of disaster? There's a silver lining in every dark cloud right? Morning Joe and Sean Hannity are like pulpit preachers throwing shit out there for ratings and you know it.
Sure, and people who shorted the market this month benefited from the crash, and grocery stores are profiting like mad from the hoarding. Yes, disasters make people watch more TV than they otherwise would. On the other hand, if the economy stays down, advertising may dry up. Not much point in buying TV ads for your store if the store is closed, right? barfo
I agree with that too. Its just I think the media mostly gets a pass because its like someone's church or favorite newspaper or sorting franchise. The media Industry in itself is as big, powerful & profit driven, that many people claim that big Corporations, Banks and certain governments are. So, they shouldn't be exempt from criticism or judgement.
Totally agree they are not exempt from criticism. Lots to criticize the media for. I just don't think their reporting on the Fauci/Trump division is unreasonable. It's pretty obviously a real thing - Fauci is an immunologist and Trump is an imbecile. barfo
It reminds me of the things the sports media does, when two basketball players are seen having a conversation after a game, or compliment each other. It turns into, “they want to play together and they’re gonna force a pairing”. It happens with nba “feuds” as well, where the media scrutinizes every little thing to create a story. There sure might be some shreds of truth to it, but the truth isnt what they’re worried about, its the story and the clicks, and the ratings that are important.
Fauci doesn't want to get fired because, unlike Trump, he gives a damn about the country and not about himself.
Dr. Fauci is 79 years old and working 20 hour days, plus giving interviews until he's hoarse. When we write the list of COVID-19 heroes, he will be there. Trump will not. But Fox news is falling in line attacking him.
