I just asked you a simple question... why would you blame Jody? I didn't bash you. Lighten up Francis.

If they leave I'm definitely not following them, i'd become a very very casual Kings fan because they are almost as close as the Blazers are to me living in southern Oregon but I probably wouldn't get that into them or watch any games. If Seattle steals them I'm probably dropping the Mariner's too and becoming a SF Giants fan.

These responses are a good argument for expansion. I don't think Blazer fans are unique in the sense that most only follow the sport because they have a local team to root for. Vegas does not need one because most people in Vegas are from somewhere else anyways. But Portland needs a team, as does Seattle.

Not much chance but if it did happen not much would change.

I’m curious why you say “not much chance”?

If they leave I’ll be wrong I guess. Not much chance of that either.

    How about this

NBA commissioner Adam Silver says the current state of Moda Center is a key issue as the Trail Blazers seek new ownership.

Silver was asked about the upcoming sale of the Blazers and whether he wants to see them remain in Portland:

“It’s the league’s preference that that team remain in Portland. We’ve had great success in Portland over the years. I don’t have a specific update on the process but I know it is underway and I know there are groups that are actively engaged with the estate and have demonstrated interest in that team. I’d say one of the factors there is that the city of Portland likely needs a new arena. So, that will be part of the challenge for any new ownership group coming in. But it certainly will be our preference that that team remain in Portland.”

Well. Probably more often than 30 years.

MC was 35 years old, but announced it's replacement on what, 92/3?

RG is 30 years old, and unless they do upgrades, that's probably about its lifespan.

And here’s another question. Where to build it.
Are they thinking about possibly keeping both the memorial coliseum and the Moda and then build another arena?
Seems to me like either one of them would need to be torn down and at this point that would be the MC.
