If we sign a big free agent this summer, who would you renounce?

Who would you renounce to accommodate a big free-agent signing?

  1. Gerald Henderson--he's going to command too much for an aging, athleticism-reliant, backup guard

    37.5%
  2. Maurice Harkless--he's too inconsistent to be a reliable rotation player on a championship team

    4.2%
  3. Meyers Leonard--he's never going to develop the mental side of the game necessary to make an impact

    33.3%
  4. Harkless if we sign a wing, Leonard if we sign a big

    8.3%
  5. Henderson if we sign a wing, Leonard if we sign a big

    12.5%
  6. I couldn't possibly care less--none of them are really worth a damn.

    4.2%

Not enough info to really make a decent guess...one factor being the draft and who we draft, another being who underachieves from here until the offseason..Guys I see staying...Lillard, CJ, Crabbe, Hendo, Aminu, Harkless, Davis, Plumlee, Vonleh, Montero...that's 9 guys..

I have it from infallible sauces that we can get Lebron if Wookee renounces Coors Light.

    Stay tuned for the decision.

Not at all. Entitlement connotes believing you deserve something, that it is your right to receive it based on inherent characteristics. If he felt entitled, he'd essentially have been saying, "because I am 7'1" and 23 years old with a 36" vertical, I deserve $16M/yr."

If he simply viewed the landscape and said, "Although market value for me right now is about $10m/yr, if I play well this season and wait until next year, especially with the impending cap increase, I'm likely to receive contract offers that exceed that which I'll receive now," there's no entitlement there. It's simply a rational analysis of the situation, options, and potential outcomes.

I don't see how you can fault someone for making a decision that is best for him based on available information.

    You let Leonard walk.

Vonleh is a better prospect. You continue to develop him amd avoid paying the $17m/per that Leo asked for.

    Lebron Scott.

That's the Lebron we can get. I guess I should've mentioned that.

Good bass player. I don't know about his basketball skills.
