Crazy thought--have you considered that perhaps some of the causes of police-on-black violence and inner-city black-on-black violence might be inter-related?

Is it as interesting as when you call other people out for virtue signaling? I just thought you might like to see that you do it, too.

As for your post to me, PtldPlatypus responded to it quite well, which is why I didn't. I generally don't post "+1" or "What he/she said."

Don't really care how I look because I am not racist. This is logic we are using right. Look at everything throughout history. The mob was raising my Grandpa in chicago to become one of them. He escaped. He could of easily fell into that trap though. Muslim extremists in the middle easts start raising the kids young to believe in their crazy ideologies to carry out these attacks. Kids grow up and see this shit, they usually fall into it therefor they are predisposed to it. Kids with alcoholic parents are predisposed to become alcoholics. What I am saying is fact. I am not saying EVERY single one, most though. It's just what happens in these environments. Obviously you are afraid of being labeled racist. I am not because I know I am not

What you just said is racist in itself yet nobody will call you out on it because you are black. Facts.

PtldPlatypus' point was that you're using "inherently" incorrectly, if you mean that it is environment-based. If you really believed violence was inherent to black people, that would be racist, so you should probably use the word properly.

As to your point about environments, I agree with you. But that shows the folly in labeling "black-on-black crime"--the fact that it's black people committing X% of crime in Chicago is irrelevant. The environment is clearly the issue, which means that the real problem to focus on is how we fix the environment. Which, as I also said near the beginning of the thread, is an extremely complicated problem with a lot of moving parts.

No--what I'm saying is that since I don't believe you're racist, I don't think you actually meant to say what you said.
    • If what you meant was that the higher rates of violence in inner-city black communities is a result of the environment in which the children are raised, then "inherent" isn't actually the word you wanted.
    • If in fact you actually did mean to say that black people are born pre-disposed to violence, irrespective of the environment in which they are raised...well then, yeah, that's racist.
You're welcome to clarify which bullet point is correct.

    +1. What he/she said.

so we shouldn't label things how they are in fear of offending people? so don't talk about the neo nazis then and what they are because that's labeling how dare you.

    makes no sense.

The fact that you can't tell this is a racist ass statement is telling.

And you don't seem to know what inherent means:

    in·her·ent

    inˈhirənt,inˈherənt/
    adjective
    adjective: inherent
    1. existing in something as a permanent, essential, or characteristic attribute.
"any form of mountaineering has its inherent dangers"
synonyms: intrinsic, innate, immanent, built-in, indwelling, inborn, ingrained, deep-rooted; More

      antonyms: acquired
Inherent means you're born that way....

Pretty sure I made it clear the first bullet point is what I meant but it looks like the PC police is on my ass. You guys couldn't figure that out?

"just watch what you say man"

uhhhhh okay. I am not afraid of this racist label people wanna hand out like candy for anything because I am not a racist. I don't need to prove it to randoms on a fucking forum. I don't need people in here trying to make me say shit exactly how they want, you should be able to know what I am saying. It's not that hard to read between the lines after I explained a million times but I am glad this has now become a PC course in how to talk

Reading Cippy's posts you'd think he'd be a big supporter of black on black crime.

    Especially murder.

Considering your comments about the name of the "Black Lives Matter" movement, it would seem that properly naming/labeling something is important to you. So rather than labeling "black-on-black" crime as such when it's driven more by socioeconomics than by skin color, wouldn't "poor-on-poor" crime be more appropriate?

Just trying to help you out. Again, proper labeling is important, so I don't want you to unintentionally incorrectly label inner-city blacks as "inherently" violent.

    I share because I care.
