He has a special chapter in Blazers history.

But I'm glad we got Dame. Excited to see if we can eventually build a contender around him. Never could do that with Roy although we only had him for 3 healthy seasons. Dame will have played more games for us this year than Roy ever did.

Drexler being such a Houston tool bothers me far more than Roy. Not having a healthy Sabonis makes me wonder what if more than Roy. Injuries do suck and have happened to many of the games best.

I do think in a way Roy's legacy benefitted from when he joined the Blazers. The team was so horrible the previous 5 seasons fans would embrace any kind of success. If we draft Roy in 1993 or 2001 or even after the second round last year in 2014 he doesn't have quite the same emotional goodwill with fans.

Game 4 vs Dallas was the best game I've ever attended. Courtside and I cried in the final minutes.

I watched this video just last week, it was the first time I'd watched any Roy highlights in years. I've never cried because of sports though.

Apparently, you've never taken a line drive to the nuts before.

4 hours from now if we've lost to the shitty Lakers, we'll all be sobbing on each others' shoulders.

I won't tell my story, but it involves 9th-grade P.E., my feisty basketball defense, and a feistier short Mexican who kept warning me to back off.
