https://www.bet.com/music/2018/01/0...ans-woman-twitter-debate.html?linkId=46725892 I haven't seen BC on lately. Not trying to upset anyone. I just find this topic very interesting.
Replace the word "trans" with "Chinese"... does Ginuwine suddenly sound bigoted against Chinese people? If so, then maybe he's bigoted against trans women. I'm not saying he is, but if he said "not if you were a Chinese woman" there's probably a follow-up "why not?" that should be answered.
I haven't seen this clip but my initial reaction is that if someone doesn't want you to kiss them, it's not okay to force yourself on them... not for a joke and not to make a political point. Al Franken just had to resign for something pretty similar. If the statement is going to mean anything, no has to mean no for everyone. I'm probably going to get a lot of heat for this but I feel like this world is changing so fast and, while I may be completely comfortable with transgender folks, others are still working on getting used to the new normal. Just because he's not comfortable dating a transgender woman doesn't mean he is anti-transgender rights or even being disrespectful. Did I miss the memo where acceptance means you have to agree to have sex as proof? It seems kind of ironic that these empowered liberated people are all up in arms because some rapper isn't going - I'd hit that!
Does a person have to be attracted to a Chinese person to not be a bigot? You know some guys only like super fat girls. Does that make them hate anorexic girls? The fact that this is apparently a debate at all makes me so sad.
I looked for pics of India. She's not attractive. She has a face I've described as a tweety bird face. I've known girls that look like her and wouldn't kiss them either. Closest to a guy I can think of is actor Toby Jones. https://goo.gl/images/xu4hvA
Couple things: Ginuwine has a "type" and it's not white women but that doesn't make him racist. India looks damn good for 52 years old!
Well said. I think acceptance is being not putting hurdles before someone because he/she is something. That's all that's needed. There is no need to like it, love it, march the streets for it or "hit it" as you so eloquently said.
If you won't date someone because of their race, it's racism. Not dating/kissing a Trans is completely different and not homophobic at all.
I don't think lack of physical attraction is evidence of bigotry. Avoiding prejudice is a function of the intellect, whereas who you're attracted to isn't based on reason--you don't reason your way into who you're attracted to and who you aren't. I don't think not finding Asian, white, black, etc, people of your sexuality's partners attractive is racist. I don't think not finding a trans person attractive is transphobic. Now, if you said, "I would never date a black person because they're <trait>" then yes, that's racist. But simply not being attracted on a physical level isn't. At least, in my opinion.
And I don't know anything about Ginuwine to know if that would be the case, however, we all know people have preferences when it comes to what they're physically attracted to... and I'm guessing this rich attractive man has a lot of options when it comes to the dating world and probably doesn't have to compromise on those ideals much.
It's funny to me being a christian and watching liberals force their agendas down peoples throats but get up in arms if you call anything a sin. Dont judge me while i judge you. The ultimate hypocrisy. If you dont believe what i believe, i believe you are going to hell, and i believe you have every right to live this life how you want, in fact i encourage you to enjoy this life because eternity after is going to suck. If i dont believe what you believe, i should be punched in the mouth for being a nazi and i should have my career destroyed, maybe even put to death and it would be funny because i encroached on your safe space.
