Dallas just needs to make a few tweaks to their roster. Adding an athletic shotblocker who can finish above the rim would benefit this team. They also didn't do a good job of replacing Marquise Daniels after they traded him. He could have been a nice option in the Warriors series. He can play 1-3, plays on the ball defense, and can score on other guards in the post.
Like some already mentioned, you don't blow up a team that won 67 games last season. Dallas is still a great team, but they do have their weaknesses. What they do need to do, is to tweak up the roster. But you don't blow up a team that won 67 games
I think Chauncey Billups would be perfect for the mavs...he can score in the paint, he's a winner, he plays d, he can take and make the big shot, and he's a floor leader....

Terry and Harris just aren't good enough to get it done and aren't true leaders. IMO Chuancy's defense is disgustingly overrated, not that hes a bad defender, I just don't think hes very much above average, but he'll still look good with Damp/Diop behind him.

What a differance a year makes. I mean talk about overreacting here. I have never been a fan of Dirk, but the fact of the matter is this team is basically the same squad that went to the finals last year, and had it not been for a tremendous performance from Wade, might have a championship ring right now. There is no reason to blow up this roster and start all over.
<div class="quote_poster">Run BJM Wrote</div><div class="quote_post">I don't know if Dirk is the guy I'd get rid of. Despite his collapse hes still an amazing scorer and almost no one can guard him. IMO the MAvs most need either A) a dominant offensive wing player and/or a playmaking PG. Howard and Stack are great but they're a big notch below guys like T-Mac, Ray Allen, Michael Redd, Joe Johnson, etc. offensively in terms of being able to just flick the switch and turn it on. Jason Terry and Harris are pesky as ***** and at this point I'd love nothing more than to beat Harris down in a back alley for all of his BS flopping but they really don't control the game and they aren't even that good at scoring or defending (especially when refs aren't calling flops). They've got Dirk and surrounded him with guys who are third or fourth tier offensive players and all of them are guys who play pick and roll or iso. IMO this offseason they need to go after a big time wing, but there don't seem to be many available (maybe Pierce?). They might have more success getting a true PG who will create shots and can run the team since Bibby and perhaps Kidd will be on the block, but they'd have to give something of value up and I don't know if they want to do that.</div> LMFAO at beating harris in a back alley
[SARCASM] As long as they keep Diop they will be fine. He is the most dominant paint presence I have ever seen. [/SARCASM]
