Putting Chris Anderson within a stone's throw of Gresham, Troutdale and Vancouver would not be a good idea. I think you know what I'm talking about. -Pop
Andersen would be a rather perfect backup power forward. Great rebounder, great defender. Of course, whenever he and Przybilla were on the floor together, Portland would be punting on frontcourt offense completely. But that can easily be worked around by staggering when they're brought on the floor, so that one of Oden or Aldridge is on the floor too. I think he's going to stay in Denver, but if the Birdman wants to fly, I hope Portland can lure him. Assuming Portland can't get Andre Miller. First string point guard is a more important need to fill than backup power forward.
Maybe Portland can renounce Blake and Outlaw and sign Kobe to a max contract. He can opt out of his current contract.
Hey I'd be willing to overlook a lot of stuff to have a talent like Kobe on our team.. birdman does not warrant overlooking his crap lol.
This is the exact response I would have had if someone challenged me with the "kobe response." Additionally, "bird man" is one bad day from a relapse. So, yeah, we don't need that here.
Yep, I've been considering Chris Anderson a FA I wanted this offseason since early on in the season. Imagine the defensive lineups we could field. Batum, Anderson, Joel, Bayless....mmmm not sure what SG to list here.
I care because he was suspended from the NBA for two whole years for drugs. It was obviously more than smoking pot while driving on the highway like so many of our former players did. Plus, the guy is an asshole and a cocky bastard. Personally, I don't want a guy like that on our team. And he is not the perfect backup because he has no offense. There are players that are stronger than him, play with just as much energy and can actually do something on offense.
