I don't think Pritchard has me on Ignore. He's watching me like a hawk. All he has to do is what he did on the ESPN board--have his screen name complain about me and delete posts until I give up on posting about him anymore. Yeah that's right, I know it was you, Pritchard!! You thought I didn't know!! Well I did!!
Wouldn't it be better to be able set your user cp to show only posters that you have on your list of 'favorites', if you will. Then when you go into a thread you only see posts/replies of the 'favorites' you've chosen. I don't know diddly about how these boards work, but would that be possible? Would doing that have a downside to the site's business? I'm sure Denny has grown accustomed to living the lifestyle of a website owner, and I wouldn't want that to be jeopardized. Go Blazers
To be honest, the best I think we can do is try not to play favorites (or the opposite) among posters. It's hard to fathom how a poster must be universally disliked when his threads get some number of responses. It really seems easy enough to not open a thread started by a poster you don't want to read.
Me thinks they doth protest too much. I would like to know how I can put the mods on ignore. But only when they're acting in their "official" caapacity.
Put your fingers in your ears and repeat after me: la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la la barfo
You Mac junkie you! Ha! I'm actually use a mac as well, but prefer Firefox with its more advanced plugin programming and your past history log that it stores kinda like a pull down menu.
The ignore feature is pretty useless because so many people quote the moronic posts of the people that are often ignored. It would be GREAT the persons threads and posts wouldnt show up at all if we ignored them. Mixum wouldnt get half the responses to his threads if that was the case.
So, I can see that there's no real advantage to the ignore feature since threads by the person you're trying to ignore pop up anyway and people quote the "ignored" posts in their responses, so I guess I'll un-ignore MIXUM. Probably an over-reaction anyway.
