The HCP isn't stupid though. I know how much he wants to be The Man, I picked him up on my fantasy team!

The guy brings it on both sides of the court and is easily one of the best 10 players in the NBA and is damn near unstoppable. Best athlete in the NBA not named LeBron.

People should recognize that. It doesn't make you a bad person to admit he's better than Lillard.

Lillard knows how to pace himself and be sure his team gets the W. Westbrook doesn't.

Lillard had to be switched off Westbrook because he was getting carved up.

Westbrook pretty much stayed with Lillard the whole game and made him take tough shots and limited him to 3-10 shooting.

Lillard got outplayed tonight and it shouldn't be hard to admit that.

So if Lillard was getting the calls that RW got, and was called on to be our #1 option, you think he would have done this poorly? He didn't take that many shots. He was in foul trouble most of the game. Westbrook shot 16 fucking foul shots. He maybe earned 8 of those.

    Lillard's team 1-0
    Westbrook's team 0-1

That is ALL I care about. Lillard scored 32 points on opening night last year and we lost. Not a happy night. It's not about individual performances. There is no prize for Westbrook scoring more points than Lillard in a single game. All that matters is team success. Westbrook can put up big numbers in losses ALL HE WANTS, thank you.

Yes, I would very much like Westbrook to score 30+ points in every game. My fantasy team would benefit greatly.

Lillard doesn't attack the rim like Westbrook does. That said, there weren't that many bad calls. Certainly not nearly enough to try and discredit him and his big night.

He put on a dominant performance tonight on both sides of the court. A legitimate 2-way player.

He had a good game. His team lost. What's your point? Dame isn't called on to be the main scoring option on our team.

Norris Cole dropped 20+ on John Wall tonight. Would you rather have Norris Cole?

Wow great game for a Westbrook. He's had knee problems though. Stay away.

He's a phenomenal player and is a top 10 player in the NBA right now, and tonight was more of the same

What's your point? Norris Cole and John Wall? Huh?

Westbrook is a stat sheet stuffer, Lillard is a closer. Give me Lillard when your team needs a bucket over Westbrook anytime.

He's a ball hog. He regularly freezes out Durant when they play together. He has a major ego problem. Right now he has exactly what he wants, he's the man, he's #1 on the team, and they lost. He can't carry the load by himself, even with the refs handing him at least 8 points he didn't deserve. I also suspect his career will be cut short in much the same way that Roy was.

Who in the NBA, besides LeBron James, carries their team individually to anything meaningful in the NBA?

And lmao, it was one loss against a team that's going to win 60+ if you read around here, and it only got away late because he had 0 help.

How many players did the Thunder dress tonight?

I love how posters just entirely overlook his defense. He can actually guard his position, and he does it quite well.

Dominant? How did he do in the 4th quarter? Did his team win? Was it even close? If he wanted to DOMINATE, he should've worked hard to set up his TEAMMATES in the first half and save some of his energy and then turn it on in the 4th quarter and beat us. But he is incapable of doing that. It's not in his skill set. Everyone in the league knows that when you're playing the Thunder, you want a tired Westbrook forcing shots in the 4th and that's what we got. UN DE FEA TED! CLAP CLAP! CLAP CLAP CLAP!

Russ wants to be the man. Well, now he is. He gets most of the shots. He has the ball when it counts. Where was he when we were making our huge run in the 3rd and 4th? Great, he plays defense. I respect that, but how good was his defense when he was completely winded in the second half and he couldn't stay on the court? Dame got hot, dropped 10 points when it mattered, and we got the win.

The guy carried a cast of Perry Jones, Lance Thomas, Anthony Roberson, SEBASTIAN TELFAIR, etc to a close game with less than 8 minutes left in the game.

The Thunder had no business winning tonight no matter how much you want to hold it against him. It honestly sounds like some personal bullshit against him and not an objective opinion.

And yes, he did outplay Lillard

He carved him up on defense and Lillard committed fouls early because he couldn't stay with him. That's not even an exaggeration.

He took Lillard out of the game.
